The 21 Irrefutable
Laws of Leadership
By John C. Maxwell
Tining is bunch of like-minded individuals selected from among Letran Calamba’s
students and employees united by their love for music. The name of the group,
‘tining”, is a Tagalog word that means calm and clear. This is the desired sound of
Tining – calm and clear voices achieved through long hours of disciplined
rehearsal. Through songs rendered a capella, Tining highlights the power of the
human voice to put into music the vibrant culture of our people. Tining’s music
prowess is recognized in the local and national music scene, and is regularly
invited to perform for the community events, such as Pasinaya of the Cultural
Center of the Philippines, the cutural festivals in the City of Calamba and the
Province of Laguna, the Siete Palabras in Sto. Domingi Church and many more.
In December 2013, Tining competed in the Sing N’ Joy Manila International
Competition and brought home the championship and a Golden Diploma award in
the Mixed Choir category which also qualities them to compete in the Interkultur
World Choir Games for the next five years.
