Analysing questionnaire

1. What are your attitudes towards global warming?

 My attitudes towards global warming are very strong

 I feel it is a big issue in todays society
 My attitudes towards global warming are strong due to the environment being affected by
this issue
 Global warming does not affect me
 Don’t care

These responses to my questionnaire show there is a mixed attitude towards global warming.
These responses are both good and bad for my campaign, as some would be interested in the
issues I am trying to prevent and some will not care and will still not be bothered.

Quite a lot A lot Not a lot Nothing

In this graph it shows us that the majority of people know what global warming is. This could affect
my campaign as people may already try to prevent the types of global warming that I am trying to
help my audience make a change. Although the minority of people don’t know much about global
warming and the affects it has on the environment around them.
3. Do you consider recycling important?

0
Yes No

In this graph the majority of people do consider recycle to be important although there are a few
people who do not consider recycle to be important. Which will help me, as when I make my
campaign I will be able to show what influence recycling can have on global warming.

4. How often
do you
6
recycle?

Always Sometimes Never
In this graph it shows how often people recycle. In these results most people always recycle which is
good as it means they are already aware of the causes of global warming and the ways in which they
can prevent it. However this is good as I will be able to further their knowledge about how important
recycling is to prevent global warming. The minority of this graph was sometimes, which is good for
my campaign as I will be able to persuade him to start recycling more regularly. A small proportion
of my feedback was that they never recycle which means my campaign will be good for them as it
will be able to see what recycling does to cut global warming and what other ways of preventing
global warming are.

5. On a scale of 1-5 how would you rate your current carbon footprint? (With one being small
and five being big)

In this graph it shows how people would rate their current footprint on a scale 1-5 with 1 being low
and five being high. Most people either rated their carbon footprint at a 3 or 4, which is around
average or a high average carbon footprint. This will help my campaign as I will be able to identify
the ways in which they will be able to cut there own carbon footprint. A few people rated their
carbon footprint as 5 which indicates they have an extremely high carbon footprint and do not do
anything to prevent this, this would be good for my campaign as I will be able to issues them ways of
cutting their carbon footprint.

Always Sometimes Never

In this graph it shows how often people use public transport. The majority of people either put
always or sometimes which will not benefit my campaign as I am trying to reduce people from
driving and use public transport to reduce their carbon footprints. Although it is good as people
already know about it so I may be able to further their knowledge about carbon footprints and
public transport usage. For the minority of people who said they never use public transport I will be
able to show them why they should stop using cars and should take the public transport.

7. Do you leave electrical appliances on standby?

 TV and computer
 TV, computer, Xbox, laptop and stereo
 TV, computer, PS2, Wii, Xbox and phone
 Everything
 TV and stereo

These responses show that my target audience of 15-19 year olds are a big contributor to global
warming with leaving things on standby. This will help me as one of my advertising campaigns is
about stopping people putting things on standby when not in use and this shows they don’t
know what the consequences are of leaving these appliances on are.

8. Would you be willing to cut your carbon footprint if so then which ones would you want to
cut?

Car pollution leavinhg things on stanby Recycling

In this graph it shows which people are most willing to cut down to reduce their carbon footprint.
Most people are willing to cut their car pollution, which is good for my campaign as they would be
interested in the subject that I will be doing my advert about. The minority either picked leaving
things on standby and recycling which is also good as my other advert is about stop wasting
electricity.

9. What could be done about global warming?

 Use public transport more
 Use more local goods instead of using foreign goods
 Leave less appliances on standby
 Waste less electricity

These responses shows that there are several ways in which we can prevent global warming from
happening and my target audience think we need to waste less electricity and use more public
transport to cut down on global warming.
