The humble petition of the petitioner above named:

MOST RESPECTFULLY SHOWETH

The petitioner most respectfully submits as under:


1. The petitioner as being the citizen of India is entitled to the protection of fundamental rights
granted under the constitution of India and other statutory rights.

2. That the petitioner has been arrested by an order of respondent no 1 and is under detention
since 11.11.2020 in the Central Jail, Bangalore

3. That the respondent no 1 has failed to mention the grounds of detention of the petitioner
although the petitioner has made several requests in this regard

4. That it was difficult for the petitioner to make out what is actually there in the petition as no
grounds of detention was mention on the detention order.

5. That as the grounds of arrest have not been given to the petitioner,the petitioner is deprived of
his fundamental rights and the detention of the petitioner is contrary to law and provisions
contained under art 22 of the Constitution of India.

6. That although the petitioner was arrested on 11.11.2020 yet he was not produced before any
magistrate within 24 hours as per law.

Grounds

That the present Writ Petition is being filed on the following, amongst other, grounds without
prejudice to each other;

 Because the present petition is preferred from the jail where the petitioner is lodged.
 Because grounds of arrest have not been revealed to the petitioner the detention of the
petitioner is illegal and uncalled for, that no previous petition was presented by this
petitioner pertaining to the subject matter and that no proceedings are pending in any
court of India pertaining to the subject matter of this petition.

 Because the Petitioner's detention is violative of Article 22 of the Indian Constitution.

PRAYER

In view of the facts & circumstances stated above, it is most respectfully prayed that this Hon’ble
Court may be pleased to:-
 Issue an appropriate writ in the nature of Habeas Corpus for quashing the detention of the
petitioner.
 Issue such appropriate writ as this court may deem fit and proper in the facts and
circumstances of the case;
 Pass such further or other order as this court may deem fit and Proper for the ends of
justice.
