BOOK REVIEW : ROBIN HOOD YEAR 6

Good day to the Programme Organizer, English Language Teaching Centre (ELTC),honorable
judges, time keepers ,beloved teachers and fellow contestants. My name
is…………………………and I would like to present my book review entitled ‘Robin Hood’.

This wonderful story talks about about Robin Hood. Long ago,England was ruled by a
wicked, greedy Prince John. He ordered the Sheriff Nottingham to tax the people so heavily that
some were forced to become outlaws. Two or the most famous outlaws were Robin Hood and
Little John, who would steal the tax money from the Sheriff and give it back to the poor.

One day, Prince John was travelling by coach to Notthingham to pick up more tax money. He
was so busy counting his gold that he didn’t realized he was passing through Sherwood
Forest, the home of Robin Hood nor did he see that Little John and Robin Hood were watching
him from the tree.

The story is classic in that they have retained their freshness and charm over centuries. The genre
have been written in simple but colourful English aimed to children. Younger children can have
the tales read to them while older ones will enjoy exploring themselves.

The moral value of this story is Robin Hood was only took money from rich people so that he
could give it to people who needed it. So he became famous for ‘robbing from the rich and
giving to the poor’.

Centuries ago, people loved to tell each other the story of Robin Hood. Later, he became famous
character in books, and nowadays Robin is still a well-loved hero in literature, theatre, TV and
films.

I recommend this wonderful and interesting story to the children between the ages of 10 - 12
and people who enjoy and love the adventure.

-Thank you-
