Summary

Robin Hood’s good traits are easily seen throughout the story. The author

did a good job of making his hero come across as a good person, who has often

been misinterpreted because of things that he did as a young boy. Showing the

change Robin Hood has made since he was a little boy easily allows the reader

to better understand how great he really is, and how he is helping not only

himself, but all of the poorer community. "'Every day, the Sheriff robs the

ordinary people with high taxes, ' Robin said to the other outlaws. 'We should

rob the Sheriff in return. But we will not rob him because we want to be rich. We

will use the money to help the poor. We will not harm women, children or

honest men. We will right wrongs when we can and we will bring hope to the
people when we can. We will live outside the law because the law is only for rich men. We
will fight these rich men's unfair laws.' "
Reflection (free reflection)
I learn a lot from this book such as new words and the fact that Robin said

the law is only for rich men. It’s unfair for poor people. Robin is an outlaw man

and the Sheriff of Nottingham try to catch him. He lives in the forest and live like

an animal. He just realizes that he’s not alone in the forest. Other men live there

too. The first-person Robin meets he’s name is Will Stutely. Soon many other

men join them. Now there are more than fifty outlaws.

The Sheriff rubs the ordinary people with high taxes. Robin says to other outlaws

“We should rob sheriff. We will rob the rich to give the poor. We will fight these

rich men’s unfair law.”

Until King Richard had returned to England at last. The King said “I am going to

let you and your men go.” Your family’s lands will be return to you. You shall be

called Sir Robin of Locksley. He’s a person never give up. He deserves it.

The character that I like in this book is Robin Hood. He’s loyal and he likes

help other. Throughout the book, Robin Hood was always loyal to the people of

Nottingham, by giving them food, money, and helping them when they needed

help. Another definition of loyalty is, “Loyalty is the feeling of allegiance to a

course of action. Heroes in stories are known for their act of extreme loyalty

where they even risk their life to save someone close to them. Robin Hood and his

friends are examples of heroes with intense loyalty”
