SUBJECT/AREA: Numeracy QUARTER:2nd

I. Lesson Title Ordinal Numbers Up to 20th


II. Lesson Objective At the end of the quarter, aided by a full verbal prompts
and minimal physical prompts with 80% accuracy, the
child will be able to do;
 Identify ordinal numbers up to 20th
 Arrange ordinal numbers up to 20th
III. LESSON STRATEGIES Demonstration, modeling, and verbal prompting.
IV. Lesson Materials  Number Flash card
 Activity sheet
 Marble with 20 different colors
 Cut-outs numbers from 1-20
 10 different objects (any objects that can be found
inside your house)
V. Lesson Procedure Note: Please teach directly the skill/s to the child.
So as not to sensory overload them with too many
instructions.
A. Preparation Prepare the materials needed in the activity.
B. Presentation
 Prepare the materials like marbles with 10 different
colors and cut-outs numbers from 1-20.

 Tell the child that you will play a race game using
the marbles by rolling it them.

 After you roll the marbles ask child if which marbles


won and which marbles is the last to roll on the
finish line.

 After the child says the winner and the last marble to
finished, let the child put the number one to the
winner marble and the 10 number for the last
marble to finish.

 In this part, you will discuss or tell the child the


number one is the number for the winner or the first
place and the 20th number will be the last. And you
will tell the ordinal number of the remaining number
like the second, third, fourth and until the 9th
number to complete the ordinal number form 1st
(first) – 20th number.

 If necessary, tap your child if he/she is out of focus.

 If the child got the correct answer, give him/her a


complement like clapping or say “very good” or “good
job”.

C. Application What order I am?


1. Arrange the 20 different objects. It’s up to you how
will you arrange the 20 different objects.

2. Ask the child randomly like what object is in the 6th


place until the? Until you finished to ask all the
ordinal number from 1st-20th.

3. Make sure to show the spelling of each ordinal


numbers in order for the child to familiarize and
knew the spelling to read.

4. If necessary, tap your child if he/she is out of focus.

5. If the child got the correct answer, give him/her a


complement like clapping or say “very good” or “good
job”.

D. Evaluation Find me to know me!
