To Whom It May Concern:

Marianne Ference had been a student teacher in my Kindergarten classroom during her fall 2020
semester with Ashland University. Miss Ference was responsible for teaching language arts and
math lessons to a class of 23 Kindergarteners. Her teaching experience includes face-to-face
instruction, e-learning, and also a hybrid model. She has been able to adjust her teaching to meet
the needs of a wide variety of learning styles in an environment that would turn on a dime,
depending on the COVID-19 situation, and she is proficient with the technology skills needed to
adapt to e-learning situations. Her lessons were always thoroughly prepared and implemented.

Miss Ference’s experience in Language Arts includes teaching Fundations lessons. As the district
Fundations coach, I was impressed with her ability to quickly pick up on concepts and vocabulary
needed to effectively teach this program.

She taught math lessons from our Everyday Math curriculum and used thought-provoking
questioning to build critical thinking and problem solving skills.

Miss Ference has a very positive and enthusiastic personality. She developed a great rapport with
all of the students in the class. She was always professionally dressed, articulate, and ready with a
smile and a kind word. I have found that other team members have accepted her as a strong
working member of our team and she has had a positive working relationship with each of them, as
well as with other staff members.

I am confident that Miss Ference will be an asset to any staff that she works with. She is confident,
knowledgeable, and has the skills of a seasoned teacher. I believe that she will continue to grow and
become even more effective as a teacher with further opportunities. Please feel free to contact me
