1. Ali and Ahmad enter into a contract for the sale of a car. What will the place of
delivery be for the car?
The delivery must be made an agreed place by both the parties. Since, both the parties had
no term on the place to be delivered, the sale of delivery will be made at the time of sale.
However, in case of an agreement to sell, delivery of the car will be made depending on the
place where the car is at the time of agreement, or the place where they are manufactured.
The place where the time has been decided is the place for the delivery of car.

2. B enters into a contract with S for the sale of wheat that is to be grown at the S
farmhouse in bedian. S’s shop is located in defence. What will the place of delivery
be for this wheat?
In the case of agreement to sell, delivery will be made at the place where goods are
location at the time of agreement. For the existing goods, it would be the place where they are
manufactured. Bedian will be the place of the delivery for the wheat as the delivery has the
impact of having goods into B’s ownership.

3. What is the reasonable time for delivery, explain by way of example.


Where the time has been decided would be the place for the delivery of the goods.
Otherwise, they must be deliveryed within reasonable time. If B sold 3 ton of cement to D
in May in Karachi, and 2 ton in June in Lahore. The place of the delivery will be Lahore.

4. B in Lahore purchases tomatoes from S in Karachi. The sale is concluded in Karachi


and the S hands over the goods to a carrier. When will delivery be deemed to be
complete in this situation?
S is eligible to send goods to B, where the delivery of goods to carrier is deemed to be
delivery of goods to B. Therefore, S is responsible to have secure delivery. If goods are
damaged before the delivery, B has full authority to deline the offer and claim his rights and
money.
5. B purchases rice from S worth Rs. 500 with Rs. 50 delivery. B pays S Rs. 500 but not
the Rs. 50. Is S an unpaid seller under the SGA? Explain.
S will be responsible to pay the 50 rupees. S is an unpaid seller under sales of goods act
because of the bill of exchange or other negotiable instrument being received as conditional
payment rule.
