Environmental Factor (Pakistan)

According to the survey, the number of automobiles on Pakistan's highways increased from over 2
million in 1991 to more than 10 million two decades later. In a country like Pakistan, there are no
adequate public transit options. Rickshaws are often regarded as the most cost-effective and in-demand
means of transportation. However, despite addition to the advantages of low-cost transportation, there
are several other elements that have a significant impact on the country's environment. The Rickshaw
industry, as a whole, tends to cause the most environmental damage in terms of noise pollution,
environmental deterioration, and the constant regulation of Rickshaws between cities. According to a
World Bank research published in 2014, urban air pollution levels in Pakistan, a country of more than
200 million people, are among the worst in the world, owing to increased energy use and growing
motorization. Furthermore, in order to battle environmental pollution, Sazgar intends to launch a
project to develop EV Rickshaws powered by 200c engines. These rickshaws can drive up to 170
kilometers with minimal noise pollution and zero emissions. This will result in less noise pollution and
environmental degradation, resulting in more environmental friendliness.

Legal Factor (Pakistan)

When it comes to the automobile rickshaw business, Pakistan does not have any strong environmental
regulations in place, such as air and noise pollution. Strict policy action must be taken to ensure that
these Rickshaws are inspected. In order to maintain openness, implemented policies must be considered
for policymaking progress. The Centre for Public Policy and Governance is eager to contribute to a more
deliberate, transparent, and participatory policymaking process.

The automobile industry is going through worst crisis amid rising prices due to imposition
of new, higher taxes in the budget and steep currency devaluation in the recent weeks
and now the government is expected to receive less tax by Rs150 to Rs200 billion from the
industry due to the emerging situation. Moreover, the global on-going conficlt such as
Russia-Ukraine has will further have negative impact on the economy.
Pakistan’s Automobile industry contributes (2.8%) to its GDP and 30 billion rupees to the national
exchequer in terms of taxes and duties
The auto industry has witnessed a sharp decline in sales over the past two
years and rickshaws are no exception—between 2018 – 2020up till 44%.
While some blame could be levied on the poor economic conditions and
depleting purchasing power of rickshaw buyers, demand displacement from
other vehicle models; mass transit projects in major cities; and higher sales of
motorcycles and cars, may be a prominent factor that would have a lasting
impact on the rickshaw market, perhaps long after the economy is stabilized.

The auto sector has seen a steep decrease in sales over the last two years, and rickshaws
are no exception—between 2018 and 2020, sales fell by up to 44 percent. While poor
economic conditions and dwindling purchasing power of rickshaw buyers may be blamed,
demand displacement from other vehicle models; mass transit projects in major cities; and
higher sales of motorcycles and cars may be a significant factor that will have a long-term
impact on the rickshaw market, possibly long after the economy has stabilised. Due to the
sheer emerging situation, the government is likely to earn less revenue from the industry by
Rs150 to Rs200 billion. Furthermore, the worldwide ongoing conflict, such as Russia-
Ukraine, will have a detrimental influence on the economy.

Legal (Morroco)

Morocco is recognized as an investment hotspot for both the public and commercial sectors.
Macroeconomic policies (such as competitive exchange rates, effective property laws, macroeconomic
stability, and inflation-control measures) were devised to foster industrial growth. The Improvement in
Motor Industry Program incentivizes car giant to set up operations in Morocco. Sazgar should take
advantage of this opportunity to export to Morocco for a % tariff cost, which is lower than in other
neighboring nations.

Economic (Morroco)

Morocco's vehicle industry has been thriving in recent years. It has caught the interest of significant
industry players. Because of the country's weak transportation infrastructure, numerous investors are
eager to be significant participants in acquiring market share. The automobile sector is expected to
increase at a 17.5 percent annual rate between 2020 and 2025, according to Fitch Ratings. Sazgar should
concentrate on exporting its Rickshaws to Morocco since it will deliver eco-friendly electric Rickshaws at
a low cost at a reasonable commuting price.

Although renewables are the best option for Morocco in terms of achieving long-term growth in the
power industry, they do have certain environmental consequences, mostly in terms of air and noise
pollution. In addition to national efforts for reducing CO2 emissions, the environmental element of
renewable energy must be prioritized. This may be accomplished by the launch of the Sazgar Eve, a very
eco-friendly three-wheeler vehicle with low emissions. The adoption of Sazgar Rickshaws will result in
cheaper transportation costs as well as improved transportation infrastructure within Morocco.
Furthermore, unlike other cars and modes of transportation, Sazgar Rickshaws will be electric, resulting
in little to no air and noise pollution.
