 INTRODUCTION

This research work is the beginning for the use of alternative fuels through the design
and construction of a discontinuous reactor that facilitates the production of fuel from
plastic waste. Plastic waste is the raw material that is being adopted as a fuel alternative
due to its decomposition, which leads to reducing the environmental impact generated
by them.

The work of the petrochemical engineer, in addition to designing processes and

improving existing processes, consists of designing and sizing equipment which are
required for different applications in the industry; this design must be coupled to the
needs required by the user and must have technical and economic feasibility.
