Privatisation-bound Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL) on Monday said it will exit
Numaligarh refinery in Assam by selling its entire stake to a consortium of Oil India Ltd and
Engineers India Ltd for Rs 9,876 crore. The sale of Numaligarh Refinery Ltd clears the way
for privatisation of India's second-largest fuel retailer.
In a major dampener to the nascent electric mobility story in India, the Delhi government late
on Monday suspended subsidy on Nexon EV, India's largest selling electric car, after it
received multiple complaints from customers of low range. The suspension comes barely
three days after the car won a prestigious first evergreen car of the year award at the Indian
Car of the Year Awards ceremony last Friday.
