Since we are in the Tourism and Hospitality Industry we care about the safety and

security of our guest, passengers or tourists. Safety has an important position from the
point of view of tourism quality. The security and safety of tourists is the most
important factor in any table tourism industry. A tourist undertakes a tour to recharge
his or her energy, entry eternal peace and tranquility and for a go on adventure in a safe
and secure environment.

Making and inventing jokes or pranks about bomb or any threats during the flight is not
funny. It can make the other passengers worried or panic. This kind of situation should
be taken into action, it should not be tolerated. On a state level, the laws vary by
jurisdiction. But, generally, one can be expected to be charged with a felony (a crime
punishable by more than a year in prison), and the severity of the crime charged and
the penalty given will also vary by the circumstances of the threat. Indeed, if an actual
explosive device (or a dummy device meant to look like an actual explosive) is used,
the penalties will be substantially higher, and could include multiple counts of
attempted murder. Maliciously disseminating false information or willfully making
threats about the alleged presence of bombs is prohibited by Presidential Decree No.
1727 or the anti-bomb joke law. Violators face imprisonment of up to 5 years or a fine
of up to P40,000, or both. On a federal level, one can expect to face possible charges
related to terrorism. Of course, all of these crimes will usually include financial
penalties that are in addition to the prison sentences, and will probably have some
relation to the expense associated with investigating the threat which, as mentioned,
can be staggeringly expensive given the number of government agencies involved.

These are the procedures in handling such incidents:

 Remain calm.
 Notify authorities immediately:
o Notify your facility supervisor, such as a manager, operator, or
administrator, or follow your facility's standard operating procedure.
(See below for assistance with developing a plan for your facility or
location.)
o Call 9-1-1 or your local law enforcement if no facility supervisor is
available.
 Refer to the DHS Bomb Threat Checklist for guidance, if available.
 For threats made via phone:

o Keep the caller on the line as long as possible. Be polite and show
interest to keep them talking.
o DO NOT HANG UP, even if the caller does.
o If possible, signal or pass a note to other staff to listen and help notify
authorities.
o Write down as much information as possible—caller ID number, exact
wording of threat, type of voice or behavior, etc.—that will aid
investigators.
o Record the call, if possible.
 For threats made in person, via email, or via written note, refer to the DHS
Bomb Threat Checklist and DHS-DOJ Bomb Threat Guidance for more
information.
 Be available for interviews with facility supervisors and/or law enforcement.
 Follow authorities’ instructions. Facility supervisors and/or law enforcement
will assess the situation and provide guidance regarding facility lock-down,
search, and/or evacuation.
