Activity 2

1. Why is Messianic Prophecy important to the believers?

-To the believers, the Messianic Prophecy is important because this is
the proof that our Lord is a Holy one and that we shall worship him
because He is our Creator, Savior, Redeemer and Provider. According to
the Holy Bible, “He is Lord of lords and King of kings” (Rev. 17:14; cf.
19:16), who shares with God in His nature, granting us grace as well as
peace (Phil. 1:2; 2 Thess. 1:2), comforting our hearts and establishing us
in all good works (2 Thess. 2:16, 17). Therefore, with these Bible verses
that supports the prophecy, the Lord is our King of all Kings and that He
is the Holy Being that would save us all.

2. Go to the internet search and list those who claim as Messiah or

Christ, choose one out of them with their reason why he/she claim
himself/herself as the Christ.
William W. Davies, the leader of a Latter Day Saint schismatic group
called the Kingdom of Heaven from 1867 to 188. He was born into a
family of Methodist then grew up and moved to Utah Territory as a
Mormon Pioneer. He had a series of revelations which instructed him to
establish the "Kingdom of Heaven. He and forty of his followers moved
there in 1866. But then, Davies departed from Mormonism because of
his teachings of reincarnation. He taught his followers that he was the
archangel Michael, who had previously lived lives as the biblical Adam,
Abraham, and David. Then when his son Arthur was born on, Davies
declared that the infant was the reincarnated Jesus Christ. The size of
Davies's followers doubled after the announcement. When Davies's
second son was born, he was declared to be God the Father. Only then
the Kingdom of Heaven collapsed after both of his children died. His
followers sued him which brought to the Kingdom to close. He tried
reviving this by moving to another state but he failed and then gave up.
Davies returned to Walla Walla shortly before his death in 1906, and is
buried at the Lyons Cemetery north of Mill Creek Road.

3. Why Christ Death is a victory rather than a failure?

Christ’s death was more than a victory rather than a failure. This is
because God sent Him, His only begotten Son, to save human from sin.
He spread the word of God and taught people the teachings of the Bible.
A lot of people got mad because they thought He was spouting nonsense
but all He said was true. This lead to His crucifixion and then died. But
He wasn’t dead. He is alive and is going to return to get His people, the
believers, and bring them back to Heaven. It’s a victory because He did
everything what God wanted, even sacrificed for us. This means that His
love for us will always remain and is what will save us all if we believe.
So this is a victory and not a defeat because the good will always prevail.
