Candidates occasionally need to reveal some personal information while applying

for jobs. Proponets of this practice believe that such information should be
disclosed
while some other people opposes this view. This essay discusses the major reasons
behind these two opposing views and puts forth my personal view after considering
both extremes.

It is true that, personal information gives a more clearer picture of the

candidate's attitude and
personality. These personal traits determine a prospective employee's success in a
specific role
For example, a young, unmarried person is more likely to take more risks than
an older married individual. Hence, from a hiring manager's perspective, revelation
of personal information of a job seeker is as important as disclosure of
educational backgroud

On the other hand, educational background and pervious experience are believed to
showcase a candidate's ability to perform a perticular task. Therefore, personal
information has little or no value and should not be mentioned in job applications.
