ASSIGNMENT TITLE: Individual Reflection

TUTOR’S NAME: Emmanuel Shittu

MODULE CODE: IY463

INTRODUCTION:

ROLE OF ALL TEAM MEMBERS:

In past few weeks i, and worked together on our group project, Our project is to

Controlling the car’s lighting with an arduino board, as well as being able to move and stop the

car. The key goal of this project is to use an Arduino board to control the car's lighting as well as

drive and stop the vehicle. The prototype was designed with disabled people in mind, especially

those who are unable to use their legs to walk on the accelerator or brakes. The questions of how

to arrange our meetings, how to compare our subject to the previous groups and lead out the next

groups, and how to make our presentation as effective as the previous groups were always our

top concerns when we three were conducting our project. To do this project we worked in a well

balanced manner and think in a creative way , Bring our shared strength together to make our

project easier and Successful. Firstly we Made a project schedule, Monitor the plan's elements,

Assign duties to members of the project. When problems occur, pivot paths. We stay in contact

with each other and with our project supervisor as well.

MOTIVATION VALUES AND ASSUMPTIONS

When I first received our group's words and scholars list, I was completely

unfamiliar with them due to my lack of prior experience in this area of study. Then I kept telling

myself if I could show someone what I didn't understand. The only option is for me to read

papers and debate them with my classmates. Reading will assist me in acquiring a general

understanding of the words, and conversation can allow us to share ideas and thereby extend our

knowledge. My prior interpretation of those words has been reversed since reading and debating

them. I used to think about Communicative Competence as a person's natural capacity to

communicate.

Key decisions made by the group:

However, as we discuss it in a social sense, we must dig at its history—

where did it come from? What are the various points of view of the academics? Siyuan Wu's

Reflection Paper What happened to it in history? What are the relevant areas that we can

discuss? Throughout the research, I discovered the importance of collective collaboration—

collaborative work will increase the project's success by a factor of ten. In addition, I learned that

while reading the papers of different academics, I could no longer accept their viewpoints but

rather question them. I learned a lot , learned how to work in a team and to work on a project like

that.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT PROCESS:

Moving from one location to another is often a difficult task for patients, disabled

people, and the elderly. For that purpose, we created a toy car concept for people who are unable

to use their legs to operate the accelerator and brakes. The aim of our project is to create a

remote-controlled car that can be used to both amuse and educate younger children about road

safety and driving. When we were younger, this model of vehicle supported us in studying the

principles of road safety, such as driving carefully to avoid striking something and risking harm

to the vehicle. We have an arduino board in the car so that we can use our experience to exercise

our skills by writing an arduino software to manipulate the car to drive forward or backward, as

well as turn left or right. Another challenge for us was AutoCAD. AutoCAD sketches are

another example of technical knowledge used to build the car's basic structure. We ultimately

decided to build a remote-controlled car that can be used to amuse younger children while also

teaching them the fundamentals of road safety and driving, which is a little more straightforward

but no less useful in practise than some of the other designs we considered. We spoke about our

ideas. Since the project is a collective project rather than an individual project, it puts a stronger

focus on group work than individual work. When faced with differences—multiple backgrounds,

different schedules, and different viewpoints on a given issue—we must make concessions.

During the planning phase, we exchanged emails and met up. We discussed our interpretations of

the thesis and worked together to develop analysis methods and presentation strategies.

METHODOLOGY/PROCESS:

In order to put our expertise to good use and put our abilities to the test, We used an Arduino

board in our car, So we'll write an arduino programme to monitor the car's forward and

backward motion, as well as its left and right turns. So we'll write an arduino programme to

monitor the car's forward and backward motion, as well as its left and right turns. Aurdino is an

open-source electronic interface built on hardware and software that is simple to use. Aurdino

boards can read inputs such as light on a sensor, a finger on a button, or a Twitter message and

translate them to outputs such as triggering actuators, turning on lights, and posting things

online.

For this project the main components we used are as follow:

 Step Motor

Hard disc drives, robotics, antennas, and line-following robots all use stepper

motors to achieve accurate positioning. The stepper motor has the ability to precisely

drive the car left and right.

 Rechargeable Batteries

The vehicle is propelled by rechargeable batteries. It's the most important

part of any project. Rechargeable batteries save fuel and are healthier for the

environment.

 CAD Modelling

AutoCAD sketches are another example of technical knowledge used to build

the car's basic structure. An arduino software that enables the car to drive straight,

backwards, right, and left. A CAD drawing of the vehicle is also included.

SOFTWARE:

Jikes RVM is used, and it was specified in macros. tex. We ran the avrora benchmark, which

we've typeset in sans-serif font to emphasise that it's a name. Inline syntax, such as a && b, may

also be used. See how, unlike the text instruction, the icode macro often correctly scales the

monospace font's x-height.We also used Arduino software that will help to enable car to drive

straight, Backward, Rigth and Left. The AutoCAD software is also used for the CAD drawing of

the vehicle which is very Important.

Business Management:

If I were to take this project forward and form a business to mass produce your

model, I would personally handle the working team and will lead them because I have the

qualities to be a good leader, can set the best goals and have the capability to take decisions. I

will take this project to a next level so that the disable peoples could be able to drive and can

work on their own. The other point is the safety features specially for the road safety and for the

youngsters specially. This project as a business can grab a market and can be done on lage scale.

On business scale I will strengthen my decision making ,build trust in the business community

and will communicate with different organizations to enlarge the setup.

CONCLUSION:

The design and development of a prototype of remote-controlled car that can be used to

both amuse and educate younger children about road safety and driving. When we were younger,

this model of vehicle supported us in studying the principles of road safety, such as driving

carefully to avoid striking something and risking harm to the vehicle. A demonstration has been

done. for seven cars which has yielded expected output conditions for sample input conditions.

Arduino board is used to control the car's lighting as well as drive and stop the vehicle of

disabled peoples. Vehicles are used to provide movements to transport the vehicle for disabled

peoples. The main advantages are Vehicles for disable peoples, cost effectiveness and amuse and

educate younger children about road safety and driving.
