The title QC is awarded to those who have demonstrated particular skill & expertise in the
legal field.
Salve, who is barrister with the legal firm Blackstone Chambers, has served as solicitor
General of India from Nov 1999 – Nov 2002.
He was India‟s lead counsel on the Kulbhushan Jadhav case at the International court of
Justice. The Court by a vote of 15 -1 in the Jadhav Case had upheld India‟s claim that
Pakistan is in Violation of the Vinenna Convention on Consular Relations on several counts.
The world court had ordered Islamabad to carry out an effective review and
reconsideration of his conviction.

Export credit Guarantee Corporation (ECGC) has introduced “Export Credit Insurance
Scheme” [ECIS] called NIRVIK (Niryaat Rin Vikas Yojana). It enhances loan availability &
ease of lending process.

National technical textile mission

Technical Textile means manufacture for non – aesthetic purpose. (That textile which you
don‟t wear on regular basis). Textile for automotives. Textile for crop protection.
Protective clothing (Heat, radiation, fire fighting bullet proof jacket, latest PPE kits). The
global growth rate of technical textiles is 4% whereas the regular home/ apparel textile is
1%.
