Alphabet Arc Activity Cards

The  Alphabet  Arcs  and  plas0c  le1ers  can  be  
purchased  from  www.alphabetle1er.com.  
 
These  ac0vi0es  will  work  with  both  the  uppercase  
and  lowercase  alphabet  le1ers  and  mats.  
When  I  first  got  my  alphabet  arcs,  the  students  
would  quickly  match  the  le1ers  and  then  I  would  ask  
them  to:  
-­‐find  the  le1er  “b”  
-­‐find  the  le1er  for  the  sound  /m/  
 
I  thought  that  I  could  use  the  arcs  for  many  more  
skills  so  I  created  these  cards.  
 Ac0vi0es  include:  
1.  Matching  lowercase  le1ers  to  uppercase  le1ers  
2.  Matching  uppercase  le1ers  to  lowercase  le1ers  
3.  Find  the  missing  uppercase  and  lowercase  le1ers  
4.  Matching  the  le1ers  for  the  beginning  sounds  of  the  pictures  
5.  Segmen0ng  short  and  long  vowel  words  
6.  Finding  the  beginning  and  ending  sound/le1er  
7.  Finding  the  beginning  blends  for  pictures  
8.  Empty  segmen0ng  cards  for  short  and  long  vowel  words  (you  will  just  say  a  word  and  they  
will  find  the  le1ers  to  match  the  sounds  in  the  words
