POSTPONING THE APRIL 2021 ELECTRONICS ENGINEERS AND ELECTRONICS

TECHNICIANS LICENSURE EXAMINATIONS AND RESCHEDULING THEREOF
TO OCTOBER 24 & 25, 2021 AND OCTOBER 26, 2021, RESPECTIVELY

WHEREAS, Section 7 (d) of Republic Act No. 8981 or the PRC Modernization Act of 2000
empowers the Professional Regulation Commission (Commission) to administer and conduct
the licensure examinations of the various regulatory boards in accordance with the rules and
regulations it may promulgate; to determine and fix the places and dates of examinations;

WHEREAS, the Commission issued Resolution No. 1283 (s. 2020) scheduling the licensure
examinations for calendar year 2021 wherein the Electronics Engineers Licensure
Examination (EELE) and Electronics Technicians Licensure Examination (ETLE) were
scheduled on April 14 & 15, 2021 and April 16, 2021, respectively;

WHEREAS, on February 8, 2021, the consultation meeting with the Institute of Electronics
Engineers of the Philippines (IECEP) was conducted, as well as the submission of
recommendations from the different Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) offering Electronics
Engineering Program relative to the conduct of the April 2021 Electronics Engineers and
Electronics Technicians Licensure Examinations.

WHEREAS, with the increasing number of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases in the
country, including that of the new variants, the exposure to the potential risk of acquiring the same
poses fear and anxiety to the examinees and examination personnel;

WHEREAS, taking into consideration the health and safety of all the examinees and
examination personnel and in view of the consolidated result of the public consultation and
recommendations from various HEIs, the Professional Regulatory Board of Electronics
Engineering (Board) deemed it necessary to endorse the postponement of the April 2021
Electronics Engineers and Electronics Technicians Licensure Examinations;

WHEREAS, the Board and Licensure Office recommend to the Commission the
postponement and rescheduling of the conduct of April 2021 EELE and ETLE;

WHEREFORE, premises considered, the Commission RESOLVES, as it hereby RESOLVED

to POSTPONE the conduct of the April 2021 Electronics Engineers Licensure
Examination and Electronics Technicians Licensure Examination and to RESCHEDULE
the same to October 24 & 25, 2021 and October 26, 2021, respectively.

RESOLVED FURTHER, that the previously scheduled October 23 & 24, 2021 EELE and
October 25 ETLE under Resolution No. 1283 (s. 2020) shall be moved to October 24 & 25,
2021 and October 26, 2021, respectively.
