III. Conclusion

RA 9292 also called The Electronics Engineering Law of

2004 is the latest and an updated version of RA 5734 and it
was approved in year 1969. The old RA 9292 covered only
one category in RA 5734 which is ECE while the latest RA
9292 covered three categories of practice which are PECE,
ECE, and ECT. In the latest RA 9292, the board members
were given the opportunity to be re-appointed giving them 6
years in office. In the latest RA 9292, the new name was given
as Electronics Engineering while keeping Communications as
part of the ECE curriculum.

The weakness of the law is granting registration without

examination. This part of RA 9292 may raise concerns and
debates since majority of the aspiring engineers go through
the hard and tedious process of board examination to be
registered. The strength of this law is in Article 6 which is
about the Penal Provision and Assistance of Law Enforcement
Agencies. This article provides the possible violations of an
ECT, ECE and ECT and the consequences they may face. This
is a strength because this article can be used as legal argument
and can be used against an offender even have his/her license
and registration revoked.

Based from what I have read from the Republic act of

9292, Under Article III Section 16 (Ratings) states that " To
pass the licensure examination, a possibility for Electronics
Engineer or Electronics Technician must acquire a passing
appraising of (70%) in each subject given amid the
examination: Provided, in any case, That a competitor who
gets a passing evaluating in most of the subjects however gets
a rating in the other subject/s beneath (70%) yet not lower than
(60%), might be permitted to take one expulsion examination
regarding the matter/s where he/she neglected to get the
passing appraising: Provided, at last, That ought to the
examinee neglect to get a passing appraising in the evacuation
examination, he/she should be considered as having fizzled
the whole licensure examination.". Which is as I would see it
needed to be changed. Examinees needs to be given more than
one expulsion examination since the past subjects was at that
point go by the analyst. The passed subjects as of now needs
to be considered or credited once passed. Therefore, for those
students who did not get the passing of 70% will have a
chance to have more than one remedial examination or
