Overview
The DI-SR-3800 & DI-SR-5800 Series is
Multiservice Router platform which includes
models in different categories such as DI-SR-
3800-61, DI-SR-5800 and DI-SR-5800-80+.
DI-SR Series Modular architecture supports
Gigabit TX/SFP combo ports, USB2.0 ports
and DHIC / DHIM slots. These Router supports
different type of Expansion Modules and
Interfaces of different port configurations such
as Ethernet, E1, T1, Serial, Async, for providing
diversified connectivity options for the user.
DI-SR-3800 & DI-SR-5800 series is equipped
with DROS operating system to build a
multiservice platform by providing Software
functions such as routing, switching, Advance
Security and VPN functions to meet the various
requirement of Government, Financial
Institutions, Defense, Operators and
Enterprise Networks.
Main Characteristics
High Performance:
They support 64-bit dual-core processor with gigabit ASIC chip and
FPGA components. Hardware based processing for various specialized
services such as VPN and Security equip DI-SR series to provide high
processing capability and higher throughput.
Strong expandability:
DI-SR-3800 & DI-SR-5800 series routers support external interface,
slots and modules without overloading the Main CPU resources.
Distributed architecture provide every Switch line card with its own ASIC
and adequate internal channels of high-bandwidth to deliver high
performance and throughput for expansion modules.
Power Saving Feature:
D-Link Multi-Service Integrated Router supports next-generation
hardware chipsets resulting in considerable energy saving while
maintaining its strong processing capacity. The power consumption of
whole DI-SR routers is reduced by 15% to 20% compared to mainstream
device. Routers are also equipped with the Smart fan.

Multi-Protocol Support: Security:

D-Link Multi-Service Integrated Router supports Layer 2
link protocols including HDLC, PPP and dot1q. It also
support static Route & dynamic routing protocols such as
RIP, OSPF, BGP, and BEIGRP. DI-SR-3800 & DI-SR-
5800 series is equipped to integrate multiple services on
single platform like routing, switching and security
D-Link Multi-Service Integrated Router support extensive
security features such as ACL, NAT, VPNs like
IPSec/L2TP/PPTP/GRE. It also support industry
standard security functions like AAA, Radius, PAP/CHAP
to provide secured network access for Enterprise
Networks.

IPv6 Support: QoS:

The DI-SR-3800 & DI-SR-5800 series support IPv6 data
forwarding, IPv6 routing protocol and IPv6 Multicast
routing protocols. It also supports IPv4/IPv6 dual protocol
stack and IPv6 translation technology so that the existing
network can be seamlessly upgraded to IPv6 networks.
D-Link Multi-Service Integrated Router support multiple
QoS features including FIFO, PQ, CQ, CBWFQ, LLQ,
WFQ, DSCP, IP Precedence and CAR to assure
guaranteed bandwidth for key services.
Management & Maintenance:
D-Link Multi-Service Integrated Router support extensive
management and monitoring functionality by using in-
band and out-band management tools such as Console,
Telnet, SSH and SNMP.
