Sop Statement of Purpose

It has been an immense pleasure to provide my overall information that include academic
background ,academic interests, future plans and means to accomplish such plans as a
Statements of Purpose. I hereby , would like to assure you all the information provided here is
true and have put my past , present and upcoming days ahead.

Introduction

I am Anshu Khedwar , son of Mr. Bhuwneshwar Khedwar and Mrs. Usha Devi Khedwar ,
parmanent rseidents of Koshi Rural Municipality , ward 06 , Sunsari, Nepal. Currently residing in
Gaushala Kathmandu Metropolitan City , Nepal. Which is capital city of our country Nepal . I am
elder child of my parents.

I completed my School Leaving Certificate examination from Bhagawati ma vi. Receiving 67.75
% . Alongside education , my school gave me a platform to perform extra calicurram activities
speech in program and participate in IQ test contest and sports . I earned lot of awards fro these
activities during my school days . After my SLC , I joined Greenland international college which
is in Morang district of Nepal . Recently capital of province o1 and is nearest highly facilated
education platform from my home. I earned 63% marks. A garde ..During my stay in Greenland
college , I worked as monitor in physic and computer lab in first year of college .

I was the person to finish all the computer class task first in my class , for this my computer
teacher was closed to me and taught me various idea nd knowledge about computer. These
fascinate me toward Information Technology . I took part in robotic development during my
college amd was interested toward IT Department.

English Language Proficiency Test.

Regarding my language proficiency test examination , I attended IELTS ( International English

Language Test System ) on 2nd june 2018 and scored an overall 5.5 .

Family Background

We are four member in my family . My father Mr. Bhuwneshwar Khedwar is a Contractor. He

has 40% shares in construction company named Akash construction. Which is situated in
inaruwa -05 , Sunsari , Nepal. My father is source of my fund required for my education in
Australia . My mother Mrs. Usha Devi Khedwar is housewife . She takes care all of us and look
after house. My younger brother is in standar 10 . Therefore , income from business is our main
source whereas earning house rent and land leased will be the source of funds during my study
in Australia .
Why not Nepal?

After my college . Or A level. I did a lot of research on the availability of diploma degree in
Nepal. I searched online and even went for visits to different college in kathmandu , Nepal.

In Nepal Tribhuvan University is leading education provider with 1084 affilitated colleges all over
Nepal. I found out that Diploma in Information Technology was available but the course was not
updated and at the same time it did not have infracture for it.

The course duration content did not make me proficient enough to join the IT sector . I thought
that studying in Nepal might make me capable but it will not make me competent in days to
come.

The education system in Nepal has not embraced change in a course of time. The books are
same as it was before 5 years. I got amused but moreover I came to realize that education in
Nepal needed a change. It was saddening to know that students still had the parental or
teachers pressure to compete in science and mathematics irrespective of their interest . This
event made me question the education system of Nepal.( add more.......)

Why not other countries?

I started researching for option online and as other students . I came across a wide range of
Universities and course in counties like United state of America , United kingdom , Japan and
few countries.
United State of Ametica requires SAT in order to enroll in their university. If I were to start a
preparation for SAT it would requires me at least 3 months of classes and a month of study
before examination. So , I did not find it fruitful to waste four months of my times studying SAT
as the time could be utilized for various other things. UK did not requires SAT , GRE , GMAT but
the living and course fee are higher than that of Australia.

I did not want to migrate Japan as the language barrier is the hindering factor , I firmly believe
that without fluent intercomminucation education will get tough and if I went to Japan I would
have hard time learning and getting used to Japanese language . So , I chose Australia as
English was the formal language of education and it did not require exam like SAT and the living
expenses and tuition fees were affordable and it also had the approach tl teaching beyond the
text.

Why Sydney?
Sydney is one of the most livable cities for international students according to QS Best students
cities 2017 . According to city of Sydney ( http://www.cityofsydney.nsw.gov.au/) Sydney
accommodates over 35000 + international students in city itself.The attractive part about
Sydney is the transportation system , with Sydney offering train , buses and ferries that provides
Coverage in almost all the place insides Sydney . A convenient system of opal card also
facilitates our transportation inside Sydney.

I also conducted a small research on lifestyle at Sydney and I found it a perfect match for me .
Sydney is home to a large number of students from differents parts of the world which makes it
culturally tolerant and diversified . Where a students can learn more about life than a place like
Sydney that has such social inclusion?

The weather in Sydney is spectacular as it is pleasant and one can experience different
seasons in a year . The long and generous summers , mild winters and the warm sunny days
are things that add charm to the place.

Monotonous studies can be boring and Sydney has a long list beautiful places to be explored
during the weekends. A couple of hours of drive off the city and the beauty of Sydney await
every person eho has been looking from a break from their hectic routine.

Why Diploma in Information Techonology?

Diploma is usually a short term course . It can be considered as a foundation for future studies
and work . I chose Diploma in Information Techonology as it will help broaden my knowledge on
IT sector.

The program strongly focuses on building a better work force for the emerging IT market . As a
graduate , I will be able to demonstrate a coherent foundation of Information Techonology and
core principles of ICT ( Information and Communication Technology ). It will also help me learn
the basic aspects of development a database system , building and testing a network server
and the degree will make me highly proficient in programming language.

As a part of MGIT's core modules to be studied under Diploma of Information Technology I will
be learning Object Oriented Programming ( OOP ) language.

Why Australia for my future studies?

I started researching for oppertunities abroad so that my education would not be limited to rote
learning , instead I wanted to study in a country where practical education and skills were
valued more than gardes obtained by writting mugged up theories . I found Australia to be a
destination that complied with my needs. I found the study environment in Australia to be safe
place for students who wants to accomplish their goals in life.
According to the Department of Education and Training Australia , it was found that around
554179 + international students enrolled in different Universities and college across Australia
which an increase in over 10 % from 2015.
The most attractive factor about Australia education is that Australian education setting are
thoroughly controlled by its government to maintain its quality of education and facilities . ESOS
Act ( Education service of overseas students ) ensure students have a safe , enjoyable and
quality study in Australia , its framework protects rights of international students , students can
receive current and accurate information about course fees modes of study and other
information from institution before enrolling . The safety of tuition fees of students is secured by
Tuition Protection Services ( TPS )

Also , the overseas students Ombudsman ( OSO) service invistigate the complaint about
pronlem the overseas students face during their study in Australia. The service is free of cost
and inpartial. Overseas students studying ina anyvprivate institution or training institution can
get help from this services.
Another factor for choosing Australia is it provides multinational learning environment which will
assists me to learn new culture , language and nationalities as well as international exposure
which will help a students to get familliar with a different kind of academic pattern that would
challenge our skills as a students . This would helps us to learn to adapt to new situations and it
would certainly encourage us to perform to the best of our abilities which includes Ptogramming
language like Python and Java . The diploma course aims to make students like me proficient in
object oriented Programming language so that the opportunities to practically apply my
knowledge will be limitless..

Career plans after Completion of my studies.

After gaining a vaulable set of skills from MGIT , I firmly believe that I will become an indivisual
with higher critical , analytical , reasoning and programming skills.

The career prospects of Diploma and Advance Diploma in Information Technology includes IT
projects manager , IT procurement manager , web Developer, ICT business manager , data
entry operator , software developer , database developer and so on.

My career plan is to become a software programmer with knowledge of networking and servers.
Nepal has become an emerging IT hub in south -Asia . This opens a lot of opportjnities for IT
personnel . Also , the base salary for an indivisual with programming knowledge in Nepal is
around 30,000 NRS and can reach up to 150000 NRS per month . I can except to earn in
between this with the hrlp of my diploma course.

I cannot open a startup upfront without investigating the Nepali market so up on my return I will
join an IT company so that I can understand about the cost of operation and possible sectors to
explore. One sector I would like to invest my skill in is Digitalization of Data.

The system of Nepal is changing ffom manual to digital in a rapid pace.Businesses have now
started to adapt digital methods of advertisements , digital storage of data and a lot more.
Rather than bulky files with records on the shelves, companies are storing data in small files in
their computers. As a software programmer with knowledge of networking I will build an
application that can store data in to a server that will be accesible locally and can fetch data in a
fast pace. I want to design the software according to need of Nepali businesses.

As in my primary year of Diploma I will be learning how to build a network server, I will have the
knowledge to creat and deploy a network server that can be useful to budinesses as resources
can be shared within network . I will be working with a lot of data; I can pfoduce informative
output for business and even public by analyzing the data .This will be a practical application of
the module Building a data warehouse that is offered in my Advanced Diploma course.

To summarize, I as a software developer will like to utilize the concept of neteorks, data
warehousing and programming languages to create efficient systems that will be useful for
enterprise and common users.

Reasons to return back to my home country

After the completion of my Advance Diploma I will return to my home country as I am elder son
of my parents and have responsiblities towards my parents. My parents have spent half of their
life on educating me and helping me transform into a better human. After the completion of my
studies and with skills in my hand, I will have to support my parents who have supported me till
the date. I must assurethat their retirement life is worth all the hardships that they went through
during my upbringing.

As my primary objective of migrating to Australia is for studies, I will be returning back to Nepal
to contribute to sector of Information Technology. As a student, the incompetency of Nepali
education lures me toward Australia but as skilled personnel I will prefer to build and sustain a
product in Nepal as the market is emerging and hungry for professionally skilled IT personnel.
According to the Parliament of Australia ( http://www.aph.gov.au/) website Information
Technology shares 1.8% of total employment of country whereas in Nepal , we are having a
skills shortage. Also an article published in Kathmandu Post, 53% people in Nepal now have
access to mobile phone and internet which means that the Nepali market is growing to greater
extent. So , it would be beneficial from a career point of view to return back to Nepal.

The software that I want to creat for Nepali market already exists in Australian market. It would
be challenging to creat an application that will have to compete with exixting products in
Australia, it is not the challenge that refrains me but it the concept of creating a product worth of
value. If I creat same product in Australia it will have to go through harsh competition and the
chances of scaling a product will be low. By developing the software here in Nepal, I can scale
the product easily and as the availability of this kind of software is very low I will create an
in-demand product.

Hence, returning to Nepal will open a door of possibilities and also earn me revenue while
creating a product worth of value.

Financial status

My understanding for my visa subclass 500

I understand the term and condition and my limits to this visa subclass 500, which has been
recently introduced and is in application since July 01, 2016 under the Simplified Student Visa
Framework (SSVF)for all international students who wish to study in Australia at a registered
education institute. There are some obligations of subclass visa 500. They are:

I need to maintain minimum 80% of attendance in the college.

I am allowed to work 40 hours per fortnight on part time basis.

I need to clear 50% of subject in each term.

I cannot change the college for y months upon enrolment.

I need to maintain health insurance untill I remain in Australia.

I must notify yo college / DIBP within 7 days if I changed the address and contact details and so
on.

In summary , I am mentally prepared to follow all the visa conditions that are associated under
visa subclass 500 and I am determined to study with my all efforts for securing better grades. I
believe and I dare to pursue what I believe with hard work and passion. I want to serve, I want
to explore, I want to learn, I want to feel, I want to achive my dream and I want to believe, I
strongly believe that qualification that I get in Australia will highly appreciated and will be
rewarding beautiful career back in my home country.

Thus, I would like to request you to grant me a chance to be a part of your prestigious and
valuable Australian education. Once given an opportunity to study there, I will leave no stone
unturned in pursuing my graduates with goods marks hence making my parents and nation
proud. Hence, I appeal Australian High Commission for granting me the student visa and
helping me pursue education.

At last, I believe mh educational qualification matches with my intended course of study. On my

part, I can assure you of sincerity and hard work . I am confident that my enthausiasm will
definitely enable me to meet my dreams and expdctations.
