Downloading Instructions

All Tables.

If there are any errors, correct them and repeat the step above.

The configuration for TFTP File Manager (B054) plus all of the Ethernet-related information
(such as IP addresses) must be present in the device memory before you can download over
Ethernet. For this reason, the configuration must be downloaded serially the first time.

If the configuration ever becomes corrupted and the message “CCU is DISABLED!” appears,
you must download the configuration serially again.

If the actual system configuration is very large, it is advantageous to create a configuration

containing only the applications required to initialize the device to accept Ethernet
downloads/.

To perform a serial download:

1. Connect a Wesmaint cable between the PC and the device’s Wesmaint port.
2. In Config Pro, select Device / Communications / Communication Options.
3. On the Interface tab, select Direct Serial.
4. Select the Port Settings tab, and use the following settings:

 Baud Rate: 9600

 Data Bits: 8
 Parity: None
 Stop Bits: 1
 Disable all Flow Control options

5. Click OK.
6. Connect to the device using the window icon on toolbar.
7. Press function key 7 (F7) to download.

When the serial download is complete, you can download over Ethernet. To perform an
Ethernet download, complete the following steps:
1. Connect the appropriate cable between the PC and the device (10base2 or 10baseT).
Note: If the connection is 10baseT and is directly connected between the PC and the device
(versus over a corporate LAN), a 10baseT crossover cable is required.
2. In Config Pro, select Device / Communications / Communication Options.
3. On the Interface tab, select iSCS LAN.
4. Select the Preferred LAN as configured above.
5. Click OK.
6. Select Device / Communications / Configuration Download to initiate a download
over Ethernet.

The download is complete when the Downloading Configuration window closes.
