1.

Fitness – as the longer we are in a lockdown, the more stagnant our body becomes because of
the lack of physical activities. Being fit helps me to be more productive, disciplined and energetic
to complete my daily tasks. It also protects me from heart disease, obesity, stroke, high blood
pressure keeps me from getting sick.

2. Wellness – wellness is more than being free from illness. As pandemic started, we feel more
physically, emotionally and socially drained than the usual. However, during this time, it is okay
not be okay and acknowledge that we need and we can ask for help from our family and friends
for our ell-being. As a social being, our wellness does not only end in the fact that we do not
have any illnesses but it is an overall wellness of ourselves.

3. Benefits – Swimming may be a recreational activity or a physical activity or a competition to


each one of us but all in all, swimming has many benefits for my physical, mental, psychological,
emotional and social health.

4. Learn - Drowning is one of the most common causes of accidental death. Learning and being
able to swim, even the most basic technique is an essential life-saving skill.

5. Self-awareness – It is important to know my own capabilities and limitations so that I won’t bite
off more than I can chew and put myself at the risk of drowning or any dangerous situation

6. Emergency – emergency situations may come at the least expected time and knowing how to
swim can or may give us the opportunity to save someone else’s life or our own life.
