8th: Exhibits command of rhythm and timing by creating a movement sequence to music
as an individual or in a group.
7th: Demonstrates correct rhythm and pattern for a different dance form from among
folk, social, creative, line and world dance.
6th: Demonstrates correct rhythm and pattern for one of the following dance forms: folk,
social, creative, line or world dance.
Objectives: Each student will engage in a teacher-led social dance, then reflect upon
their experiences.

Chasse (step, together, step; like a gallop) backward diagonally right on 1-2
Chasse forward diagonally to the left on 3-4
Chasse forward diagonally to the right on 5-6
Chasse forward diagonally to the left on 7-8
Jump up and down 4 times, each one on the beat
Kick foot in front of you on 1, cross and touch your toe next to your standing foot
on 2, turn around in a circle on 3 and 4.
