Every project has phases and their succession contribute to completion of the project
Project life cycle can be defined as collecton of phases involving starting planning, process and
end or completion of project
Project life cycle has four phases that are given below
1. start/initiating
2. organizing and preparing
3. execution
4. closure
Initiaton/starting:
Initiaion is the first phase of project life cycle. In this phase the project goals and objective are
defined/set. Based on project goals/objective a project report is created which includes how
practical the project is. What are the risk regarding the project. Resources availability and
economics of the project are identified. A solution/alternate plan are made to avoid/overcome
risks. In this phase project proposal and project approval are made. After approval project charter
is created and then the project goes into next phase.
Organizing/planning:
In this phase the planning on the project is carried out which involves the project manager,
workers and project charter manager. All the stakeholders set goals and certain steps to meet the
project outcome. Project schedule is made, budget distribution and cashflow is determined. A
project plan is developed and then the project goes into next phase.
Implementation/execution:
In this phase keeping project management plan in front the project execution on the plan is done.
Meeting are carried to discuss progress details of execution, technical requirement of project.
Isssue/hurdles that come in the way of executing the project plan. when the project
outcomes/desirable output of the project is met the report on the project deliverables is made and
sent to acceptance (standard maintaince team). Now the project/product goes into next phase
closure
