A. Magna Carta for Health Worker (R.A. No. 7305)

 was enacted to ensure that health workers are properly compensated, thereby
helping to promote better delivery of quality health care service

B. Sanitation Code (Presidential Decree No. 856)

 The ultimate objective of this was to improve the way of the Filipinos by directing
public health services towards the protection and promotion of the health of our
people. There also arose the need for codifying and updating the scattered sanitary
laws to ensure the provision of handy reference and guide for fast reinforcement.

C. Clean Air Act (R.A. No. 8749)

 This act encourages promotion and protection of the environment. This act
primarily is focused on pollution prevention rather than on control and provide for
a comprehensive management program for air pollution

D. Generic Act (R.A. No. 6675 )

 Generics Act of 1988.


 An act to promote, require and ensure the production of an adequate supply,
distribution, use and acceptance of drugs and medicines identified by their generic
names.

E. National Health Insurance Act (PhilHealth)

 A tax-exempt, government-owned and controlled corporation (GOCC) of the


Philippines, and is attached to the Department of Health for policy coordination and
guidance and aims for universal health coverage of all Filipino citizen,.

F. National Blood Services Act (R.A. No. 7719)

 Also known as the National Blood Services Act of 1994, promotes voluntary blood
donation to provide sufficient supply of safe blood and to regulate blood banks.
 This act aims to inculcate public awareness that blood donation is a humanitarian
act.

G. Laws on Notifiable Disease (R.A. No. 11332)


 An Act Providing Policies and Prescribing Procedures on Surveillance and Response
to Modifiable Diseases, Epidemics, and Health Events of Public Health Concern, and
Appropriating Funds Therefore, Repealing for the Purpose Act No. 3573, Otherwise
Known as the
 "Law on Reporting of Communicable Diseases"

H. Senior Citizen Laws (R.A No. 7432)

 “Senior Citizens Act of 1991,” or “An Act to Maximize the


 Contribution of Senior Citizens to Nation-Building, Grant Benefits and Special
Privileges and for Other Purposes.”
 This provides for the granting of a 20-percent discount for senior citizens on fares
for domestic transportation, and the availment of services from hotels, lodging
houses, restaurants, theaters, recreation centers, and purchase of drugs and
medicines anywhere in the country. It also exempts senior citizens from payment of
individual income tax and establishes the Office of Senior Citizens Affairs (Osca) at
the city or municipal mayor’s office.

I. Revised Dangerous Drugs Law

 This Act, provides for importation of Dangerous Drugs and/or Controlled


Precursors and Essential Chemicals. It establishes offences and penalty according to
the different dangerous drug, regardless of the quantity and purity involved.
Pharmacist and veterinarian that are authorized in dealing with dangerous drugs
should have an original copy of the sales of their product.

J. Act on Cheaper Medicine (R.A. 9502 of 2008)

 “Cheaper Medicines Act”, is intended to achieve universally accessible and cheaper


and quality medicines by pursuing an effective competition policy in the
pharmaceutical sector. The President subsequently issued an executive order
requiring maximum retail prices for a number of drugs.

K. Save the Children

 Save the Children Philippines advocated the passage of Republic Act 10821 or the
Children's Emergency Relief and Protection Act that directs national and local
government agencies to implement and sustain comprehensive emergency program
to protect children from disasters and emergencies.

L. Violence Against Women (R.A. 9262)


 This values the dignity of women and children and guarantees full respect for
human rights. This act also recognizes the need to protect the family and its
members particularly women and children, from violence and threats to their
personal safety and security.

M. Disaster Risk Reduction Management (R. A. No. 10121)

 This is an act strengthening the Philippine disaster risk reduction and management
system, providing for the national disaster risk reduction and management
framework and institutionalizing the national disaster risk reduction and
management plan, appropriating funds therefor and for other purposes.

N. Rooming-in and Breastfeeding Act of 1992 (Milk Code) Republic Act 7600

 This law encourage, protect and support the practice of breast-feeding. This states
that newborn infants to be put to the breast of the mother immediately after birth
and roomed-in within 30 mins after normal spontaneous delivery and 3-4 hours if
was a caesarean delivery.

O. Responsible Parenthood and Reproductive Health Law of 2012

 Republic Act 10354


 A legislation that guarantees and enables measures for the sexual and reproductive
rights of women, men, young people and families through comprehensive and
accessible reproductive health care services, including family planning.

P. Mandatory Infants and Children Health Immunization Act of 2011 (R.A. 10152)

 An act providing for mandatory basic immunization services for infants and
children, repealing for the purpose presidential decree no. 996.

Q. Children Safety on Motorcycles Act of 2015 (R. A. 10666)

 Two-wheeled motorcycle riders may not be allowed to drive a motorcycle with a


small child on board.
 The Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR) stipulate that only children whose
feet can reach
 The foot peg, could wrap their arms around the driver’s waist, and wears protective
gear such as a helmet may be allowed to ride on a motorcycle with an adult. The law
covers all public roads, including roads where there is a heavy volume of vehicles,
where there is a high-density of fast-moving vehicles, or where the speed limit is
more than 60kph. An exception applies only to cases where a child to be transported
requires immediate medical attention.
R. Children’s Emergency Relief and Protection Act of 2016

 This Republic Act No. 10821 of the Government of the Philippines mandates the
provision of emergency relief and protection for children before, during, and after
disaster and other emergency situations. It refers to situations when children are
gravely threatened or endangerd by circumstances that affect their survival and
normal development.

S. Child and Youth Welfare Code of the Philippines

 Rights of the Child The emotionally disturbed or socially maladjusted child shall be
treated with sympathy and understanding, and shall be entitled to treatment and
competent care.

T. Tobacco Regulation Act of 2003 (RA 9211)

 A law regulating smoking in public places, tobacco advertising, promotion and


sponsorship, and sales restrictions, among other requirements.
 The Committee’s Implementing Rules and Regulations are comprehensive and cover
a broad range of topics on tobacco control. In addition to the advertising, promotion
and sponsorship provisions in Rep. Act No. 9211 and the Implementing Rules and
Regulations, the Consumer Act of the Philippines (Rep. Act No. 7394) addresses
false, deceptive, or misleading advertising in general.
