TCFC Cooler Control System

Operating Manual

The equipment of cooler hydraulic station can be monitored and controlled by


the touch screen. The operator can see the running status and real-time data on the
interface that you can find the cause if there is a faulty alarm. The operating interfaces
are Pump station, Grate screen, Speed curve, Pressure curve, Alarm display, Debug
screen and Parameters. These interfaces will be described in detail below.

1.1 Pump station


After Pump-station is selected, the operator can see all pump statuses include
running, interlock, port status and pressure. The hydraulic station oil temperature, oil
level, cycle pump, heater and cold valve statuses are all shown on the interface. When
the symbols show green color, everything is OK. If any symbol shows red color that
means an alarm or fault message, please check the related device.

The rectangles #1~#6 show the enable signals of all grates. When the symbol is
green or yellow, the grate is allowed to run. Red color means there is something
wrong the worker need to check.
The operating password is 666666.

2.1 Grate screen


The default interface is Grate-screen while the touch panel is running.

Forward limit signal


Proportional valve openning
Return limit signal

On this interface the user can see all information of grates.


The operator selects control mode by clicking the Local or Central button. Push
Alarm button, the alarm message will be displayed. When the grates are in auto-local-
mode, the operator can start or stop the whole cooler system by pushing Start/Stop
button.
Every row of grate can be switched to Auto or Manual mode. For example, if
there is a fault happened to ROW3, this row of grate will be switched to manual mode
automatically for cutting off it. Or the user can switch it himself. If everything is OK
when the cooler system is running, all rows should be in Auto mode.
On Grate screen interface, the direction of every row and running limits can be
shown.

3.1 Speed curve and Pressure curve

The operator can check the trend real-time curves of speed and pressures on
these two interfaces.

4.1 Alarm display

Click Alarm-display button, the alarm history window will be shown.


The alarm message history can help users find the cause of fault. The operator
can clear the alarm history message by clicking Clear-History button. This button has
a higher level of privacy for avoiding incorrect operation. If there is an alarm

message, the symbol and the alarm message pop-up window will be shown.
Only after the alarm or fault has been dealt with, the alarm symbol will disappear
by clicking Reset button.

5.1 Debug screen

The operator can test every row of grate manually on this screen while it is on
manual mode. Click the Forward or Reverse button to select the direction of grate
running a single time. When the Round is selected, the user can start the grate running
back and forth. Meantime the opening percent is displayed on the screen.

6.1 Parameters
The user can check and set the parameters for producing on the Parameter setting
interface. The parameters include Forward Increase-time, Forward Decrease-time,
Reverse Increase-time, Reverse Decrease-time, opening of forward and reverse,
temperatures and pressures alarm value.
If it is unnecessary, do not modify the parameters.
