Tomie DePaola

Biography
Tomie Depaola is an American children’s
book author and illustrator. He was born
in Connecticut in September of 1934 and
died in March of 2020. He has
written/illustrated 270 books and has sold
over 25 million copies. In addition to
writing and illustrating children’s books,
Tomie DePaola was a professional artist
and theater teacher.
