The Impact of Using Video in Developing English Language Proficiency

A.BACKGROUND
​The need to speak English has increased worldwide. This has an impact people's lives and
activities in a way that no other language can. English has proven itself to be the most
common language and international language in this world. However, teaching and learning
the target language (English) is a constant challenge for many students from different parts
of the world. And there are many obstacles in the process of learning it​.

B.DISCUSSION OF THE PROBLEM


​Presentation of technology tools can enhance and offer valuable teaching plans and
methods that help both teachers and students. However, students still show very low
achievement in English low competence and proficiency due to current curricula and
teaching methods maybe not enough to improve English for students. That's why, they need
a learning environment that is interactive, more powerful and engaging

C.OBJECTIVES
​The main purpose of using video is to see and evaluate the improvement of student
behavior, motivation, and motivation mastery of language.

This study aims to show students' attitudes towards use videos to develop their English
performance to a level where they are more proficient and able to use language. In addition,
this study aims to determine the impact of using video on learning English skills​.

D.RESULTS
​This study shows that the use of video has a very positive effect on student engagement in
the classroom. Vidio has the potential to promote English learning during interaction and
exploration such as adopting new methods such as the use of video to encourage students
to practice their English in class. This technology tool allows students to talk and discuss
with each other without shame as opposed to traditional learning. Therefore, the process of
learning English is getting more Interesting

E.CONCLUSIONS
​ earning skills in English as a foreign language is always no easy task. This research has

introduced video as an educational tool to improve the English skills of Iraqi graduate
students.The interviewshows that students' belief that the use of video helps develop their
English skills. According to the data Analysis, this study revealed that Iraqi students
strongly agree that using video plays an important role in improve their English skills.
Perceived positive video as a great additional tool for learning about targets language is
considered as one of the important variables that inspire and enhance students' learning
efforts account for their success. This research also proves that videos can create a real
learning environment Students can practice their English during discussions with their
teachers as well as with other students at classrooms in different real environments.

F.STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESS


The advantages of this journal are explaining in great detail the objectives of the research
and explaining methods of methods that are easy to understand. and this journal provides
good solutions for students and teachers. This journal has almost no weaknesses because
the contents of this journal are very detailed
