Assessments

Formative Monitoring (questioning/discussion taking place during instruction of lesson plans 1 and 2):
We will have a ball tossing activity for the teacher to see what the students know. The students will
stand in a circle. The teacher will toss a ball to a student randomly selected from popsicle sticks with
students’ names on them. That student will be asked a question regarding the activity. If the student
answers correctly, he/she can throw it to someone. If he/she doesn’t answer correctly he/she will sit
down. This will continue until one student remains standing. This student will receive a piece of candy.
During this time the teacher will be making marks by questions missed.
