I. INTRODUCTION
In today’s generation, bullying became one of the major problems of teenagers that are
associated through their acts towards other people; elementary pupils are never an excuse to this.
Admit it or not in many instances of our lives we commit bullying, we sometimes are the bully
and we sometimes are the victims of bullying. Most of the people are not aware that they
perform bullying in their everyday lives. First thing that we must know is what is bullying?
There are numerous definitions of bullying as stated by many people, associations, books and
other learning materials. Dr. Teresita Felicilda Gonzales Here are some of the definitions that
aggressive behavior in which someone intentionally and repeatedly causes another person injury
or discomfort. Bullying can take the form of physical contact, words or more subtle actions. The
bullied individual typically has trouble defending him or herself and does nothing to “cause” the
bullying.” There you go, as supported by this foreign association bullying takes place when we
intentionally and repeatedly cause harm to other people that it affects their way of life negatively.
Dr. Teresita Felicilda Gonzales There are numerous kinds of bullying such as physical bullying,
verbal bullying, cyber bullying and social bullying. First, let’s talk about physical bullying.
Physical bullying includes hitting, kicking, pinching, spitting, and tripping, pushing taking or
breaking someone’s thing and making mean or rude hand gestures. This type of bullying focused
obviously on the person’s body and possession hurting a person through personal contact of
interaction is classified as physical bullying. Secondly, verbal bullying is when we upset other
people through the words that we utter. In this kind of bullying it includes teasing, name calling,
threatening or simply verbal abuse. This indeed plays a major role in a person’s life because it
targets the mind of an individual that connects on their feelings and emotions. When emotion and
feelings strike it affects the way of thinking of a person and sometimes the brain that is
responsible to this is also affected that sometimes it leads for the brain to malfunction. This is
when the bullying is too much that a person cannot contain. Dr. Teresita Gonzales Thirdly, cyber
bullying can be overt or covert bullying behaviors by the use of technology including hardware
and software. This can be public or in private that sometimes the bullying known only by the
target and the bully. Cyber bullying includes nasty gossip or rumors, deliberately excluding
others online, abusive or hurtful texts, emails or posts, images or videos and imitating others
online or using their log-in. This ground to a person to down him/herself by the fact that the
impression of the people around him/her is not good. The built reputation of him/her was being
wrecked. Lastly, social bullying is often harder to recognize and can be carried out behind the
bullied person’s back. Dr. Teresita Felicilda Gonzales This is designed to harm some time’s
social reputation and/or cause humiliation. Social bullying sometimes referred to as relational
bullying, involves hurting someone’s reputation or relationships and it includes, lying and
spreading rumors, negative facial or physical gestures, menacing or contemptuous looks, playing
nasty jokes to embarrass and humiliate, mimicking unkindly, encouraging others to socially
exclude someone and damaging someone's social reputation or social acceptance. This kind of
bullying will destroy the social life that their target had. Bullying here in the Philippines and
even in abroad is correlated in every aspect of our lives. Dr. Teresita Gonzales As for me,
bullying is not a privileged that a bully can take just for him to believe that superstition of being
higher than the others. If you believe that you are high enough with others, I tell you drop that
superstitious belief of yours because the number one bully or challenger that you need to conquer
or cope up with is yourself. Bullying is always there and it’s really hard to find a suitable
solution for it to vanish. But one thing is for sure we need to be well equipped and responsible
enough for the things we do. Beware of the possible effect of the things you will do before you
eventually decided to do it and put it into reality. Others might say that as long as you’re not hurt
it will not matter but always consider the feelings of the people around you. You aren’t made to
live as on your own because no one is capable of doing that and the mere fact that we need others
on our side. So, we need to be mindful enough in choosing the wise and right decision that will
benefit or favor not just ourselves but also other people. Dr. Teresita Felicilda Gonzales

Grade ____ are composed of ____ pupils per class. ____ sections will be the total

The total population will be too large to handle and entailed too much time, cost and
effort; taking samples will be a very good alternative. It could be noted that if a small part of the
population was considered, sampling error should be expected. Thus, in drawing conclusions
about the population from which a sample was drawn, the researcher decided to choose the right
The computation of the sample size that will be applied is Slovin’s formula.

will be constructed by the researcher himself. Of the two-hundred twenty-five total population,
only one-hundred forty-four (144) respondents will be taken from the total population using
Slovin’s Formula with a 0.05 margin of error. Small sample sizes can provide highly reliable
findings depending on the sampling procedures adopted by Schiffman and Kanuk, (1997).
