TASK DESCRIPTION
1. Get together in groups of 3 or 2 and write a roleplay for 3 people, a receptionist, a patient and a
doctor
Part A: conversation between a patient who rings up to make an appointment and a receptionist
It should include:
 Use the polite form “Sie” – verbs will end in “en”
 Greeting each other
 Discussing dates and finding a date – day, month, time
 Asking and giving personal information (name and address)
 Finishing the conversation politely
Part B: conversation between a doctor and the patient
It should include:
 Use the polite form “Sie” – verbs will end in “en”
 Greeting each other
 Asking for and giving information on what the problem is such as
 where it hurts or what the patient has,
 asking for and saying since when the patient has it,
 giving advice of what to do and/or giving medication
 Finishing the conversation politely
