“A Heart contrite and humbled, O God you will not spurn”

This verse is very hopeful verse in the Bible as it reminds all of us of the hope for a second chance
whenever we fall or stumble as we journey in life. It also reminds us of the parable of the prodigal son
that Jesus taught his disciples. Just like the Prodigal Son, being sorry and having a humbled heart is all
we need and God will receive us with open arms. For in humbling oneself, we are capable of seeing
the wrong things we have done and we make reparations by being resolved to sin no more. Lenten
season is a perfect time for repentance. We should examine our conscience more deeply, have a
humbled heart for the corrections we encounter, and also go to confessions more. Heart contrite and
humbled, O God you will not spurn”
