Hello everyone,

My name is Angie Carolina Ruiz Gomez, I am thirty four years

old, I am a student at UNAD University and I am studying
environmental engineering and below I am going to tell you
why I chose the local mayor of Bosa and what expectations I
expect from this government institution.

The mayor's office of Bosa is one of the institutions of the

district of the city of Bogota, it is one of those responsible for
executing the resources for the good of the community, and it
is also responsible for the well-being of the community. The
Tunjuelito river is one of the rivers in Bogota that crosses the
town for more than five kilometers, unfortunately this river is
polluted by sewage and factory waste, we all know that the
urbanization of large cities leaves as a consequence
deforestation, loss of rivers and wetlands, disappearance of
species, water pollution and much imbalance in the
ecosystem.
The petition was sent to this governmental institution since it
is the competent one to attend the requests of the
community, in the previous letter it was requested that a
program of recovery and maintenance of the river be created
since many times the community has been affected by floods,
overflows and proliferation of respiratory diseases.

The letter also shared commitments by the community such

as caring for green areas, not throwing garbage into the river,
planting trees and caring for parks. It is important that in
environmental programs the community be linked as actors of
change, as a student of the environmental and productive
area I have the responsibility of accompanying in my
community in these community work processes, for many
years I have been concerned about the environmental part,
already that global warming is a reality of the present, that is
why it is important that the new generation and the
generation of the present become aware and make a change
in their lifestyles. In the awareness raising processes we have
focused on collaborative work, it is very true that the river
cannot be recovered, it is inevitable to give life back to this
river that was once a place where fish, birds and many living
beings lived, but today They are only memories of the elderly.

These are some responsible ideas that we are applying in the

community.

Take advantage of sunlight: avoiding turning on the lights

in the house when it is not necessary makes a significant
change.

Recycle: our reduction of pollutants involves forging the habit

of emptying, crushing, closing and depositing the bottles in
special containers. Don't forget to find the nearest collection
center.
Take care of the water: reducing the bath to a maximum of
5 minutes, using a glass of water when brushing your teeth
and washing your car with a single bucket of water, will be a
significant help for the environment.

Put the car away: Use the alternatives! Why don't you take
your bike or skates today? Use means of transport that do not
pollute. We will all breathe better quality air.

Take care of the trees: adopt a tree, avoid causing fires and
do not cut them down. Trees are essential for the planet to
breathe, reduce the temperature, mitigate pollutants and
have more water.

In conclusion, the requests from the community are clear, the

first is the creation of various environmental programs for the
maintenance and recovery of the Tunjuelito River, the second
is to participate in these programs, the third are the
commitments that have been developed as caring for the
environment, planting trees and caring for green spaces near
neighborhoods.

Mi nombre es Angie Carolina Ruiz Gómez, tengo treinta y

cuatro años, soy estudiante de la Universidad UNAD y estoy
estudiando ingeniería ambiental y a continuación les voy a
contar por qué elegí al alcalde local de Bosa y qué
expectativas espero de esta institución gubernamental.

La alcaldía de Bosa es una de las instituciones del distrito de

la ciudad de Bogotá, es una de las encargadas de ejecutar los
recursos para el bien de la comunidad, y también es
responsable del bienestar de la comunidad. El río Tunjuelito
es uno de los ríos de Bogotá que atraviesa el pueblo por más
de cinco kilómetros, lamentablemente este río está
contaminado por aguas servidas y desechos de fábrica, todos
sabemos que la urbanización de las grandes ciudades deja
como consecuencia deforestación, pérdida de ríos y
humedales, desaparición de especies, contaminación del agua
y mucho desequilibrio en el ecosistema.

La petición fue enviada a esta institución gubernamental ya

que es la competente para atender las solicitudes de la
comunidad, en la carta anterior se solicitaba que se creara un
programa de recuperación y mantenimiento del río ya que
muchas veces la comunidad ha sido afectada por
inundaciones, desbordes y proliferación de enfermedades
respiratorias.

La carta también compartió compromisos de la comunidad

como cuidar las áreas verdes, no tirar basura al río, plantar
árboles y cuidar los parques. Es importante que en los
programas ambientales la comunidad se vincule como actores
de cambio, como estudiante del área ambiental y productiva
tengo la responsabilidad de acompañar en mi comunidad en
estos procesos de trabajo comunitario, desde hace muchos
años me preocupo por el medio ambiente. Parte, ya que el
calentamiento global es una realidad del presente, por eso es
importante que la nueva generación y la generación del
presente tomen conciencia y hagan un cambio en sus estilos
de vida. En los procesos de sensibilización nos hemos
centrado en el trabajo colaborativo, es muy cierto que el río
no se puede recuperar, es inevitable devolverle la vida a este
río que alguna vez fue un lugar donde vivían peces, aves y
muchos seres vivos, pero hoy Son solo recuerdos de los
ancianos.
Estas son algunas ideas responsables que estamos aplicando
en la comunidad.

Aprovecha la luz solar: evitando prender las luces de la

casa cuando no sea necesario se logra un cambio
significativo.

Reciclar: nuestra reducción de contaminantes pasa por forjar

el hábito de vaciar, aplastar, cerrar y depositar las botellas en
contenedores especiales. No olvides encontrar el centro de
acopio más cercano.

Cuida el agua: reducir a máximo 5 minutos el baño, usar un

vaso de agua al lavarte los dientes y lavar tu coche con un
solo balde de agua, será una ayuda significativa para el medio
ambiente.

Guarda el coche: ¡Usa las alternativas! ¿Por qué hoy no

tomas tu bici o patines? Usa medios de transporte que no
contaminen. Todos respiraremos un aire de mejor calidad.

Cuida los árboles: adopta un árbol, evita causar incendios y

no los cortes. Los árboles son elementales para que el planeta
respire, reducir la temperatura, mitigar contaminantes y tener
más agua.

En conclusión, los pedidos de la comunidad son claros, el

primero es la creación de diversos programas ambientales
para el mantenimiento y recuperación del río Tunjuelito, el
segundo es participar de estos programas, el tercero son los
compromisos que se han desarrollado como cuidado por el
medio ambiente, plantando árboles y cuidando los espacios
verdes cercanos a los barrios.
