Classroom Management Philosophy:

As a teacher, providing a safe, comfortable school room atmosphere and make best use of
prospects for student learning are the most vital factors in governing student behavior. For me, a
classroom should be a place that maximizes the learning experience of all those who enter the
classroom. A teacher should be democratic rather than autocratic so that students have the liberty
to explore and enhance their skills and abilities to the maximum without the fear of failure.
The first and foremost point to look into is classroom spacing and organization. The space in any
classroom is usually made stimulating and visually placative with science/math materials
furthermore as samples of student work. The plants and animals are also placed to herald natural
life and attract students’ interest.
In the beginning, I will try to carry out informal conversations with the students to get to know
about their hobbies and interests so that the students don’t feel uncomfortable in the new class. I
will treat all the students equally and will listen to all of them, as this will make every student
feel valued and cared for. All the efforts I will make to keep calm, remain patient and to respond
to all my students will help me in maintaining a classroom comfortable and welcoming for the
students.
Moreover, at the start of the year, I will communicate my rules and expectations clearly and
directly. I will post daily routines and schedules on a bulletin board so that it is clear to the
students that what is expected from them in the class and how they would find it easy to succeed
in the class. In my classroom, the students will achieve a sense of security by becoming familiar
with the deadlines and weekly calendars of assignments posted frequently. I will also provide
students with concise and clear instructions so that the students stay focused on their work and
this will eventually/ hopefully lead to fewer behavioral issues in the classroom.
All my lessons will mostly be planned with extra activities in case any extra free time is allotted;
as this keeps the students from getting bored in the class as there is always a continuous flow of
activities. I will also ensure that no class time is wasted in terms of accessing material as they
will always be organized in terms of availability and accessibility.
