Forest Park, Georgia is an urban state with stability of growth and high level of community
support. The state’s rapid growth has also incorporated a significant increase in diversity. Non-
alterable contextual variables (Bloom 1980) affect student achievement, much stronger at the
school level than the individual level (Coleman et al. 1966; White 1982).
The state of growth and high perception of the level of community support will help me in
ensuring active learning and creating interactive lessons for my students. The support from
district and community will help me in further research for school improvement and planning.
Also this support will help me in providing ample resources for my students.

The demographics show a large number of students enrolled in the schools. A variety of grades
are also offered in these schools. This will support me in choosing a grade as per my abilities and
preferences. The percentage of students in the district receiving free or reduced price lunch
indicate that they belong to low income families and will need extra support in teaching and
learning. Extra support classes after school will help them overcome the learning barrier. Family
support will be less as parents of these students will be struggling financially to meet both ends.

The demographics show a huge number of students registered in the schools. A range of grades
are also offered in these schools. This will support me in selecting a grade as per my aptitudes
and inclinations. The ratio of students in the school receiving free or reduced price lunch show,
that they belong to low salary families and will require extra support in teaching and learning.
Additional support classes after school will aid them overcome the learning hurdle. Family
support will be not as much of as parents of these students will be struggling monetarily to meet
both ends. The school is considered to be fifth largest school in Georgia that means high
expectations from students and parents both in terms of teaching and learning. Also
