FEBRUARY EXAM

Writing Part 2

Question 6
You have just returned from a weekís holiday staying at the home of your British friend, Sam. Write a
card to your friend, Sam.

In your card, you should:

tell Sam about your journey back to your home

say what you enjoyed most about your stay

ask Sam to visit you.

Write 35-45 words on your answer sheet.

Hello Sam,

I hope you are well because I’m not. I'm at home and I'm waiting to recover my baggage, because
the company who I flew with lost it. I'm very disappointed that I chose them, but that's the life. Let's
get over this.

What I enjoyed most, in this one week while I stay with you, was the harmony that is in your family. I
hope to return very soon. I have an idea, a little crazy, but I think you will like it. Why don't you come
visit me in Barcelona this summer? That would be a lot of fun.

See you later,

Gabriel

Question 8 !
Your English teacher has asked you to write a story.

Your story must begin with this sentence:

Jo looked at the map and decided to go left. He had decided to go that route because the road was
shorter. It was 1995, and Jo was visiting the Great Wall of China with his family. They admired the
impressive landscapes that were on either side of the monument that can be seen from the moon.
He took a lot of pictures and played with his younger brother, who was already bored. He had to do
it as a nanny because his parents listened the guide's stories. He returned home with a lot of
memories and a bump, because he tripped and fell when he tried to catch his younger brother.
