Standards being Addressed:


MU:Pr5.3.E.8a Develop strategies to address technical challenges in a varied repertoire of
music and evaluate their success using feedback from ensemble peers and other sources to
refine performances.

MU:Pr6.1.E.8a Demonstrate attention to technical accuracy and expressive qualities in


prepared and improvised performances of a varied repertoire of music representing diverse
cultures and styles.

Objective:
Students will warm up on the E minor scale with a rhythm found in Eleanor Rigby. Students will
warm up their vibrato so they are ready to perform for their peers. Students will evaluate their
peers' performance of the melody in Eleanor Rigby. Students will practice transitions in
Brandenburg.

Materials:
● Instruments
● Music for Eleanor Rigby (on Canvas)

Warmup: 10min
● E minor scale
○ Syncopated rhythm - eighth, eighth, eighth, quarter, dotted quarter
● Vibrato
○ G Major scale with harmonics - half notes, add vibrato on stopped notes

Eleanor Rigby: 15min

make it to we will finish next time (Wednesday)
