Its purpose is to
understand the methodology called Data envelopment analysis (DEA), so that used to estimate
the relative efficiency of a variable that can be presented, as well as has also become the most
popular tool for analysis and measurement of efficiency.

in order to determine the economic value of Brazilian airports, financial tools are being used,
such as the return on assets, that is, the ROA indicates the contribution of the assets to the
generation of profits. This ratio is very useful for large companies with manufacturing or
industrial activity, since their assets are the main sources of operation.

Airports such as Guarulhos International (GRU) and Viracopos International Airport (VCP)
whose turned out to be efficient because they are maximizing their commercial income by
realizing that their passengers are their main source of income, for the proper functioning of
an airport.

For fasone, maggiore and scuderi (2014) whose they analyzed the structure of 25 Italian
airports through an important ratio such as the return on capital roe, that is shows what is the
profitability that the shareholders of a company are obtaining , if the business can be really
good for the owners of a company.

Researchers have been using different samples, variables and research methods of the data
mentioned in the table, which causing the efficiency analysis to be strongly biased, for example
related to the market and the airport capacity.

Table 5 shows that Guarulhos International Airport has its slack variables at 0, which means
that when an activity has 0 slack it is critical and therefore any delay in that activity will imply
increases in the duration of the project.

Table 6 shows that Viracopos International Airport (VCP) has been maximizing its commercial
parking and marketing revenues, compared to others that are not doing, whether they are
limited due to lack of space.

When using DEA it is very important mainly in the supply chain because it reveals if the
decision being analyzed is efficient or not, in addition it is of great help to increase or decrease
the resources or activities that are being executed, in order to optimize a good performance in
the supply chain network.

In conclusion Carrying out this study can be very useful, mainly in airports that do not present
a good performance in their economy, in addition the DEA can be is very useful because with it
it is possible to show the strengths and weaknesses Brazilian airports had in their efficiency
economical
