Why we need ozone layer

Understanding the function of the ozone layer must begin by identifying the ozone shape and position
itself. The ozone consists gas of three molecules or O3 located in the atmosphere, in precisely the
stratosphere and the troposphere. The troposphere contains 10% of this layer, and the other 90% is in
the stratosphere.

Some scientist stating that the existence of the ozone layer greatly influences earth's life. Because the
function of the ozone layer is associated with the welfare and ecosystem of earth's creatures.

Ozone layer has many functions, but unfortunately the ozone layer's function will not affect if thinning
occurs. To avoid ozone depletion problems, the spread of ozone destroyers like CFCS, HCFCS must be
stopped.

Generally, the ozone layer's function is to protect the earth from the sun's ultraviolet light. The ozone
layer works by holding back 99 percent of radiation, while the remaining 1 percent is forwarded to the
earth.

The function of ozone layer:

1.  The ozone layer functions as a radiation shield.

2. The ozone layer functions as physical protection.

3 The ozone layer functions as a temperature regulator.

4. The ozone layer's function as a light bender.

5. The ozone layer's function as a life controller.

Ozone layer depletion is caused by human on earth. They trigger the use of ozone destructive materials
made up of chloroflorocarbon (CFCS), hydrochlorofluorocarbons (HCFCS), and carbon dioxide (co2).

The depletion of the ozone layer will eventually affect global warming that triggers melting off polar ice,
the rising levels of ocean water, drastic weather and climate change, and the increasing natural
disasters. Depletion of ozone layer can also causing problems of skin cancer, eye cataracts, and the
body's resistance to infection, retard plant growth and the loss of small organisms on earth.

We need to prevent depletion of ozone layer by:

1.  Avoid activities or applications of equipment that produce gases that are harmful to the ozone layer

2.  Minimize use of personal vehicles

3.  Do not use any cleaning products that are harmful to the environment

4.  Air-conditioning ward (air conditioning)

5. Treatment of bpo (ozone layer destructive material)

6. Planted a shade plant as a natural cooling agent
