you have taught, how Priestley College - Warrington (5 years): AS and A level Media studies. AS and A level
many years etc..) Film studies. OCR Level 3 technical diploma in Media and extended diploma (1 st and 2nd
year). OCR Level 2 technical diploma in media.
CPD I was part of the TLA group at Priestley for 2 years. I have also regularly attended
bitesize sessions on several different topics to improve the quality of my teaching and
planning (The latest one being a literacy – related workshop that TCAT held in
September).
Leadership Experience Before teaching I owned a video production business where I would train and monitor
employees. I currently have no leadership experience in teaching outside of creating
schemes of work for my team and leading them through it as well as holding bitesize
training for my team on adobe film editing-related software.
Wider school life I am in charge of video production enrichment and also in charge of the producing the
college’s open event and welcome day videos. I have also been a personal tutor for
level 3, level 2 and A level classes.

Career Development Student Progress
As someone who has no middle leadership experience I believe having a deeper understanding of the core unit
as of yet, I am looking for this course to be my first ‘delivering results’ in addition to the optional units
step and to aid me in obtaining a middle leadership ‘curriculum design’ and ‘improving teaching’ will greatly
position in future. I believe the ‘personal qualities’ and help my delivery of the course and improve my student
‘vision, values and strategy’ core units could also help progress and outcomes. I also believe that having a deeper
me in my current position to better myself in self- understanding of how middle leadership works in
assessment. education will the other units will only benefit me as a
teacher currently and in the future.
Participation on the course will involve attending sessions which sit outside of directed time and may result in
planned activities which impact on PPA and non-contact time. It will involve being released from school to attend
the course, which you will need your own school to agree to. In submitting this application, you accept these terms.
