Guidelines to prepare your presentation


1. Remember to use visuals and figures that help you support and convey your ideas.

2. Consult at least three authoritative sources before entering any content to your presentation. Be aware of
plagiarism, cite your sources appropriately.

3. Make sure all the sections of your presentation are signposted.
4. Take some time to rehearse your part. Have your classmates listen and watch you while you present.
5. Rehearse together as a group as many times as necessary
6. Look up vocabulary and pronunciation of new words. Make sure your discourse is fully intelligible.

 You will need to be in groups. Sign up for your group here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1k-

 Your main task is to produce a presentation about a real problem and think about a possible solution.
These issues could be social, environmental, and/or economical issue affecting the planet. Your group
will be given one of the continents and you must think about a country and/or region to focus your
presentation on.
 The final product could be a policy, a product, a proposal, etc. Think about your solution from the
perspective of your fields of expertise.
 You should spend time in planning and researching about the topic so you can be confident in your
presentation.
 The length of this presentation should be about 15 minutes total and you must include a game or an activity
to involve the audience.
 Everyone should talk and contribute to the presentation, cameras must be ON, all group members should
wear an appropriate outfit and should have a well-structured section in the talk.
 Reading should be avoided – You will lose points if reading is evident
 You can also use a short video in your presentation
 The presentation should have a title and references should be included in the slides while you are talking
about
 You will have week 13 and 14 to prepare your presentation in class – 30 minutes will be given in each
session.
