1. Describe how and where the COVID-19 virus originated and how did it potentially reach
humans? When tracing this virus back you can see its origins are from Wuhan, China predictably
from a Huanan Market. It has been predicted that the virus was spread from Bats, then to
Pangolins, and which then reached humans. It has been said the spread from Bats, Pangolins, to
humans has been traced back to the Huanan Market, as this market is a market that houses and
slaughters live animals.

2. Compare and contrast the difference between an epidemic and a pandemic and what the
response is to each. An epidemic is a word used to describe a sudden unexpected increase in the
cases of a disease for a particular region. Whereas a pandemic is also a sudden and unexpected
increase in the cases of a disease, but in a worldwide case. We respond to these two words
differently. In the case of an epidemic you try to contain the problem, opposed to a pandemic
where you can only mitigate it.

3. Explain the virus being transmitted between humans and how can we reduce the spread of
the disease? The main way Covid-19 is being spread is through person by person contact, even
cases have been found by people with close contact who tested positive of Covid-19, or by
sneezing or coughing. Humans can reduce the spread of Covid-19 is firstly by being aware of the
main Covid-19 symptoms; Fever, Dry Cough, and Tiredness. If you have any of those symptoms
or are feeling unwell stay at home and quarantine. The CDC recommends avoiding touching any
areas of the face, distancing yourself from others especially out in public, making sure to wash
your hands from 20 seconds at least, get your flu shot, and as of recently it is recommended to
wear masks.

4. Analyze the spatial and historical distribution of COVID-19 around the world & Identify
the spatial distribution and spread of racism, regarding COVID-19. Currently studying the
historical distribution of Covid-19 you can see it has a large number of cases in largely populated
countries. Unfortunately racisims has gone up during this time due to the increase of this Virus in
largely populated countries. Many speculations of any asian person countainting the virus has
caused a lot of racism in the county, I feel others who may not be as educated on this virus do not
understand that people from all different regions are developing this virus and that this virus is
not targeting one specific race.
