Subject: The Results of my Analysis

Dear Dr. Gardner,

It has been wonderful working with these past weeks, I really appreciate the opportunity
you have given me to work within your committee. As you know I have been analyzing
data on endangered fauna populations, and I seemed to have found an alarming trend.
Unfortunately, my current model is showing huge discrepancies in population counts for
many endangered species across different studies. This indicates a huge margin of
error in the most prolific population estimation techniques that are currently in use.
However, there is a lot of new research being done on these techniques right now,
many of which seem to be very promising. I am therefore proposing an allocation of
funds towards research of these new estimation techniques. As many of these
techniques are mostly untested, it is vital that we have more information on how they
may be implemented to ensure our data is accurate and our energies are focused in the
right areas. I will be sending a memo with my full recommendations later this week, but
feel free to reach out at any point if you have questions or thoughts on the topic. I look
forward to hearing from you.

Best,
Evan Haithcock
