DRAFT RESOLUTION

A RESOLUTION EARNESTLY REQUESTING FUNDS FROM THE BUREAU OF

FISHERY AND AQUATIC RESOURCES (BFAR) THRU REGIONAL DIRECTOR
DENNIS DEL SOCORRO IN THE AMOUNT OF THREE MILLION PESOS (Php
3,000,000.00) FOR THE EXPANSION OF THE FISH LANDING AT BARANGAY
MANGCAMAGONG, BASUD, CAMARINES NORTE.

WHEREAS, Barangay Mangcamagong is one of the Twenty-nine (29) Barangays

of the Municipality of Basud located along San Miguel Bay with natural established
access on the way from the other coastal barangays and islands of the Municipality of
Mercedes;

WHEREAS, majority of the people in the area depend their means of everyday
living to fishing and usually they bring their catch to the Municipality of Mercedes which
is far from the fishing area as compared to the Barangay Mangcamagong;

WHEREAS, Barangay Mangcagong has an existing structure of fish-port but

needs to be expanded for wider market strategy and for the convenience of the
fisherfolks;

WHEREAS, Barangay Mangcamagong is also a potential tourist destination and

the construction of the said project has significant contribution to the tourism promotion
and development of the place;

NOW THEREFORE, on motion of Councilor Reynaldo A. Garcia, duly seconded

by Councilor _______________________________;

BE it as it is –

HEREBY RESOLVED, to request funds from the Bureau of Fishery and Aquatic
Resources (BFAR) thru Regional Director Dennis Del Socorro in the amount of Three
Million Pesos (Php 3,000,000.00) for the expansion of the Fish-Port at Barangay
Mangcamagong, Basud, Camarines Norte.

RESOLVED FURTHER, to furnish copies hereof, Director Dennis Del Socorro,

BFAR Regional Office, Legazpi City for his information and favorable action.
