Learning Objectives
To prepare and develop learners for supervisory / management role in the
tourism /or hospitality industries. To provide understanding of progressive sustainability concepts, environmental impacts and ethical issues for the industry. To develop the student’s ability to apply theory to practice through the use of case studies. To explore the strategic issues in business development, rather than operational level issues. Learning Outcome
Apply the concepts and skills necessary to achieve tourist / guest
satisfaction. Use knowledge of best practices to further sustainability (economic, environmental, cultural and social) in the industry. Use knowledge and skills associated with problem solving, creative and critical thinking, reflection and decision making to function effectively in the classroom, community and industry. Demonstrate ability to perform basic and supervisory level job functions in tourism and hospitality careers.
