B. STORY
One day a patient came to the Bros Hospital accompanied by two of her family. The patient
seemed to grimace and pain in his stomach
Nurse 1 : What happened?
The Patient’s Family : my sister was stomach ache from yesterday had seven times to the
bathroom from this morning
Nurse 1 : Nurse Diah please take the wheelchair and take the patient to the
room
Nurse 2 : Let me help, carefully to sit down
after the patient was in the room, the nurse also did the assessment
Nurse 3 : Good morning Miss Ari, my name is Dwi, and now I will ask you
some questions. Can we start it now?
Patient : Yes, of course nurse
Nurse 3 : Since when you have been in this hospital?
Patient : Since yesterday nurse, prescisely at 08:00 P.M
Nurse 3 : What kind of sickness that you had?
Patient : I had severe diarrhea since 7 days ago
Nurse 3 : Then how is your condition at this moment?
Patient : The diarrhea is still severe. Since yesterday, I have been going to the
bathroom for 9 times.
Nurse 3 : Then how is the consistency of the faeces miss? Whether thin or thick?
Patient : My faeces consistency is liquid stool, even as water
Nurse 3 : Ohh I see, and did you also had experience another problems? Such as
pain, or anything else?
Patient : Yes, I had a pain in my stomach. Other than that I felt sick ever since
yesterday. Even yesterday I fainted so it was referred to this hospital.
Nurse 3 : Well it turns quite serious too miss. Did you have trouble sleeping
because of diarrhea?
Patient : Yes because of diarrhea, I was difficult to sleep. Because when I'm
sleeping, frequent desire to defecate. Besides me difficult to sleep
because of nausea.
Nurse 3 : Oh like that, and whether of your activity?
Patient : Because of this sickness, I can not move normally
Nurse 3 : I hope you recover soon in order to be able to move normally.
Patient : Well thankyou nurse
Nurse 3 : Good, I think the assessment is enough. Thank you for your cooperation
miss.
Patient : Yes, you’re welcome
Nurse 3 : Miss, to address issues such as sleep disturbances and activity, we must
solve the main problems, mainly diarrhea and nausea. To speed up
your
healing process, you must take medicine as instructed by the doctor, and
do not forget to drink at least 6 glasses of water per day, so you will not
be dehydrated

condition
is getting weaker

After preparing all equipments to inspect, nurse then headed room 1

Nurse 2 : The condition of Miss Ari is very weak. I will check vital signs and
blood sugar levels
The Patient’s Family : Of course, nurse

After the nurse check vital signs and blood sugar levels

Nurse 2 : All vital signs is improve and the blood sugar levels are very low at 46
The Patient’s Family : Then what should we do to improve her health condition?
Nurse 2 : Now I'm going to call a doctor to give a more complex actions, such as
give an injection for patients. Please wait a moment.
The Patient’s Family : Please immediately nurse

A few minutes later, a nurse goes to the doctor room

Nurse 2 : Excuse me doctor

Doctor : Yes, come in
Nurse 2 : Doctor, the patient in room 1 with diarrhea is very weak. Her vital signs
 were all increased, and the blood sugar is very low at 46. And then what
should we do, doctor?
Doctor : Wait, I'll look her condition first, and setting up all equipments
Nurse 2 : Okay doctor
Doctor : Okay, all equipments are ready to use. Let's go to the patient’s room
Nurse 2 : Yes doctor

After setting up all equipments, doctors and nurse goes to the room 1

Doctor : Excuse me
The Patient’s Family : Yes please
Doctor : I got a report that patient’s condition is very weak. Now I'll check the
patient’s condition again
The Patient’s Family : Yes please doctor
Doctor : The patient’s condition is very weak, rapid breathing, a pulse too fast,
and very low blood sugar levels.
The Patient’s Family : Please do something doctor. Any way, whatever the cost
Doctor : Calm down sir , now I am going to inject the patient, so that blood sugar
levels can increase, and the patient’s condition improves
The Patient’s Family : Well doctor
Doctor : Excuse me miss, I'm going to inject it into your body, it does hurt just a
little bit. But you should hold it

Doctor : Well we have done it, now you should take a rest and dont forget to
drink
water.

Nurse 4 : Well doctor.
 The doctor get out from the patient’s room

Nurse 4 : How do you feel after got inject miss?

Patient : I feel better than before, nurse
Nurse 4 : I hope you getting well soon.
Patient : Thankyou nurse
Nurse 4 : Excuse me sir, please remind the patient to drink water in order to
reproduce. So the patient will not dehydration again.
The Patient’s Family : Okay nurse. I understand
Nurse 4 : If the patient have any problems, you can call us at the nurse station.
Excuse me.
The Patient’s Family : Thank you nurse
Nurse 4 : You’re welcome

At 08:00 PM, the patient’s family came to the nurse station

The Patient’s Family : Excuse me nurse

Nurse 1 : Yes sir. What can we do for you?
The Patient’s Family : Nurse, the patient in room 1 was spewing of all given.
Nurse 1 : Well I would like to check her condition now

Furthermore, the nurse and the patient’s family goes to room 1

Nurse 3 : Excuse me Miss Ari, why do you vomited all given?

Patient : Yeah right nurse, even if I stopped drinking water vomit
Nurse 3 : Well wait a minute sir. Now I would like to discuss with a nutritionist to
solve this problem

And then the nurse goes to the nutritionist’s room

Nurse 3 : Excuse me ma'am

Nutritionist : Yes please coming. Is there anything can I do for you?
Nurse 3 : Well Ma’am, the patient in room 1 continues to spew whatever she ate.
I'm worried about the fulfillment of nutrition is compromised. What

The next day, the nurse check the condition of the patient.

Nurse 2 : Excuse me miss Ari. How do you feel today?

Patient : My condition is getting better. Yesterday I was able to sleep well
Nurse 2 : And do you still have nausea and vomiting?
Patients : After yesterday given sugar water and medication by a nurse, I had no
nausea and vomiting again
Nurse 2 : Wow nice to hear that. Now, you able to eat normally. So, do you still
have diarrhea?
Patient : This morning, I've been able normally, consistency of the faeces also
quite soft, not liquid anymore
Nurse 2 : Sounds good but remember Miss, please don’t consume spicy foods in
advance because it’s still in the recovery period
Patient : Yes, I will remember it, nurse
Nurse 2 : Well Miss Diah, we'll be going to other rooms. If you have any
problems,
you can came to the nurse station.
The Patient’s Family : Yes, thank you nurses

The next day, the patient had already recovered, so that the patient can go to home

Nurse 4 : Well congratulations. Finally after four days in the hospital, now you
can
back to your home
Patient : Yes, thank you nurse. Thanks to taking care of me. I can recover very
soon because of your nursing care. Thankyou very much
Nurse 4 : You’re welcome Miss Ari
Nurse 4 : Now you’re getting better. But you must still remember to keep your
body
fit and don’t eat spicy food.
The Patient’s Family : Yes, we will remember about that, nurse.
