Hematoimmunology System (HIS)

General description:
In this block, the students will learn Biomedical Sciences, Clinical Sciences,
Bioethics and Humanities, and Public Health in Hematoimmunology System, and
have medical skills training as well as character and professionalism development
related to this system. The learning and training process will be conducted for six
weeks, while the feedback session will be conducted at 7th and 8th weeks.

Medical Skills Program:
The topics of Medical Skills Program are:
1. History taking and physical examination in pale and bleeding
2. History taking and physical examination in allergy and other immunologic
disorders
3. Demonstration and interpretation of blood smear
4. Interpretation of routine and complete blood test results
5. Demonstration and interpretation of skin test before antibiotic administration
6. Personal health education for anemia prevention and for prevention of
allergic reaction recurrence.
Student assessment:
Student assessment will be conducted using the following methods:
1. Formative test
2. Written student journal/portfolio
3. Individual idea essay
4. Tutor journal
5. Idea festival
