Where; Homemade Studio set up

When; During daylight in order to use natural lighting to create images with soft
shadows, this will help emphasize the delicacy of femineity
What; My aim is to create my own advertisement for a women’s perfume bottle, the
photos should represent femineity as being glamourous and empowering. I can achieve
this through using a various levels within the positioning of props and composition. A
low angle would present the bottle as having the properties to make a woman feel
empowered, it would advertise the product as being a catalyst of confidence for the
consumer. The photos of the bottle should be taken in a light/soft aesthetic, this is to
enhance delicacy of women and feminine products presented within the media.
Equipment; Canon DSLR 1300D, Tri-pod, Perfume bottles and extra props to compliment
the product, white sheet and white paper.
Techniques and Experimentation; I will be creating my own mini-studio set up in order
to adjust it to the photos needs. Also, I would like to experiment with elements such as
water in order to create interesting assets to the images; water on the glass will create
small reflections on the bottle making it appealing to the eye.
Influences;
From previous research on advertisements, I noticed that the brand ‘Chanel’ tend to
create an intense focus on the product itself, this influenced me to separate shoots of
the model and the product in order to add emphasize on the products potential to
‘empower’ a consumer (woman).
Shoot Evaluation
With this shoot I believe I successfully created images
that reflect empowerment within in women’s
perfume products. This shoot has created a reflection
of the delicacy within females and these photographs
should compliment the further images to be created
for the campaign, as they express glamour and
sophistication. If I was looking to improve the shoot, I
would have taken more images with varied lighting,
perhaps a back lit glass bottle would have made an
interesting representation of confidence and
empowerment and would have also added more
interesting colours and shadowing's to the images.
