INTRODUCTION
ENTPEPRENEUR
An entrepreneur is an individual who creates a new business, bearing most of the risks and
enjoying most of the rewards.

Entrepreneurs who prove to be successful in taking on the risks of a startup are rewarded with
profits, fame, and continued growth opportunities.

WHAT IS WOMEN ENTREORENEUR?

Women entrepreneurs may be defined as the women or a group of women who initiate,
organize and operate a business enterprise.

Government of India has defined women entrepreneur as an enterprise owned and controlled
by a women having a minimum financial interest of 51% of employment generated in the
enterprise to women.

QUALITIES OF A WOMEN ENTREPRENEUR:-

SCHEMES FOR WOMEN ENTREPRENEURS IN INDIA:-

1. MUDRA YOJNA SCHEME FOR WOMEN


 Loan starting from Rs. 50,000 up to Rs. 50 lakhs are sanctioned.
 No collateral or guarantors are required if the loan amount is less than Rs,
10 lakhs.
 Women must apply for a loan under the Shishu, Kishor or Tarun plans.

2. DENA SHAKTI SCHEME


 Loans of upto Rs. 20 lkhs are sanctioned under the category of
education, housing and retail trading.
 Under the category of microcredit, loans of upto Rs 50,000 are offered.
 You are offered a concession of 0.25% on the rate of interest.

3. STREE SHAKTI PACKAGE FOR WOMEN ENTREPRENEURS


 Offered by most of the SEBI branches.
 Women who have 50% share in the ownership of a firm or business and
have taken part in the state agencies run Entrepreneurship Development
Programmes (EDP).
 The scheme also offers a discounted rate of interest by 0.50% in case
the amount of loan is more than rs 2 lakhs.

4. BHARTIYA MAHILA BANK

 Loans of upto Rs. 20 Crores are sanctioned for manufacturing
enterprises.
 Under the Credit Guarantee Fund Trust or Micro and Small Enterprises
(CGTMSE), you can avail a collateral-free loan of upto Rs. 1 crore.
 This loan must be repaid within 7 years.
 The base rate of interest on this loan is 10.25% to which an additional
2% is added, making the rate of interest 12.25%.

CONCLUSION

To sum up we can say that Women comprise around half of the human population.
But Indian society is still male-dominated and women are not treated as equal partner,
either inside, or outside the four walls of the house. In fact, they are treated as weak
and dependent creatures. But now days situation are change, govt. take various
initiatives to promote women entrepreneur.
